  1. What about the fourth pitch of the at bat, that outside slider he didn't swing at?
  2. Is anyone declaring the trade a bust? (I'm not counting X).
  3. I'm in my computer chair thank you very much. I don't like the couch, when I'm in the living room I'm on my Chaise Lounge.
  4. It's his fifth ML season. He's 26. Get over the nerves and get outs.
  5. At this point I'll take recording an out.
  6. His version of overthowing is 92 MPH? That's not a great sign.
  7. So you know you have no evidence to support your claims. Cool. Not that I expected better.
  8. I don't think it's ever personal with Elias. Not even that spot start for Hall years ago.
  9. Huh? So AS is 100 times the athlete Trumbo was but still isn't a great athlete. You think someone can have the ML career Trumbo did and not have a shred of athletic talent? As for Cruz in the playoffs, what did he do other than cost the Rangers a ring? For his career, over 12 playoff series, he was at + 5.4% cWPA (-4.2 in the WS). Trumbo managed to get up to 1.6% in his one post season appearance. How many rings did Captain Clutch bring home for his teams? I think at the end of the day it was -1.
  10. I hope they did but I think it's as likely that he made a mistake here as it is that no one (including him) has the actual news of Salinas signing.
  11. What makes you think Cruz was a better athlete than Trumbo was? He was slower than Trumbo, he wasn't a better fielder than Trumbo. Cruz was listed at 6'2" 230 and Trumbo was 6'4" 225. Santander is trending toward being slower than either by the time he gets to their prospective ages. I'm honestly confused why you think Cruz was this special athlete. He was a roided out DH. I'm not saying that Santander's season isn't better than any season Trumbo had.
  12. It might signal an increase in Adley's catching responsibility.
  13. Need enough of a surplus to trade for pitching, as holes appear.
  14. I don't think they'd risk blowing getting Angelos out there by having that sort of demand. I think the new owner just wanted full control.
  15. I think some folks are just jealous of what these kids make. Just like when they side with owners over the players when it comes to FA deals. Who is he to say no to 3.8M?
  16. Even if his season improves slightly he'll have no leverage as a Senior. If a team picks him 15th next year what is he going to do if they offer him 2M? Go to graduate school?
  17. Probably could have gotten some sweet odds on Corbin Caroll having an OPS+ under 90 on July 31st.
  18. If they are both down until they learn how to play third base.
  19. Like I say can you even read? No player is a 100% lock in baseball. As well you know or you'd be offering 1000-1 odds, since it's free money and all. Mayo will probably be better, but it's stupid to pretend like it's a certainty.
  20. Can you read? Did I say that? Not that I'd bet with you because we'll it's you but if it's a lock why would you only offer 5-1?
  21. That's what I think. It's nonsense. If you are going to throw at anyone on the Orioles why would you pick McCann? The Yankees led the league in hit batters when the Orioles faced them. Do you think the two teams got together and came up with this plan of action? Did the Rays back out?
  22. Except when it interferes with the Save rule.
  23. But did you see that he swung at the second pitch tonight? He obviously needs to learn how to run up the pitch count first.
