  1. Good morning. Been some time since posting. have to wonder if the “success” with pitchers like Watkins, Voth, Perez, etc has the analytics department think they can continue to take waiver players and max their value? Take other teams higher round picks who are older, tweak them a little, trade them for competitive picks and then draft best player available.
  2. Agree 100%. Thank you!!

Wade Miller came from a small school same town. Rooting for the local Berks product!!
  4. Until they pass "the physical" and the Orioles release that they are signed, I am hesitant to believe it is done. Still gunshy from previous failed physicals. Nice to se some of the HS players have signed, granted just a few and the less $ guys. Maybe this is the year we get 1-2 more of the harder to sign players.
  5. So per the article: we have not signed picks: 1, 2, 4, 5, 16, 17, 19, 24, 26, 35, 37, 38, 39, & 40. Off to a good start, but still a lot of talent to bring to the table. Interested in finding out the $. But will probably have to wait until the end to help with negotiations. Unless the players individually release their signing amounts.
  6. <p><p><p>I have not personally seen it done yet on plantar fasciitis, however I have seen it mentioned before. Personally if available I would try it before surgery.</p></p></p>

  7. <p><p><p>The parody works well with current players and themes until you reach the last 3 paragraphs. The rest of the parody is easy to read and understand, but I have tried multiple times to figure out exactly what is going on the last 3 paragraphs and am still scratching my head. Who is creating the snow and Thunder? Who is doing the talking to buck and DD? Santa, God, Cal Ripken Sr., Earl Weaver, the Ghost of Christmas past? Now if you had used somebody like Cal Ripken Sr. that would work out really well in my opinion as DD is trying to revamp the Orioles system just like the old "Oriole Way". The end of the real story is hard to transition, but it reads like you put a lot of thought into the beginning and middle, but just finished the end to be able to post it before Christmas. I was impressed, but it needs that great ending to make it a classic. Just my opinion.</p></p></p>

  8. If anybody still has access to it, if you could post it, I would love to save it on my computer. That way after a bad game or bad year I can watch and laugh the pain away. Thanks in advance if you do.
  9. This is a great thread and I know many have said it is the funniest they have seen. For some who are new to the board if you can find the movie clip that Clarence (I believe that is who did it) did after the Tex signing with Hitler ranting about how Tex got away (Hitler was played by JTrea I believe). It will have you laughing hysterically. The only unfortunate thing is that a few of the notable posters who are used in the clip are not posting anymore, but it by far is one of the funniest things I have seen of all time. A must view if you have never seen it before.
  10. <p><p><p>Welcome, hopefully you will understand in the future that some of what is said by certain members on this board will come from the perspectives of people who are bi-polar moment to moment. Nobody knows more about the O's than the OH, but some take it too serious. Best of luck to your family member. As Weams said to aggie, Welcome and Hang on for the Ride.</p></p></p>

  12. <p><p><p>Thanks for sticking around after all the harrassment you took last year! And like you I do believe.</p></p></p>

  13. <p><p><p>Matt,</p></p></p>

<p><p><p>Nice to see you finally contributing to the board. An opinion from 1/2 way around the world will be valuable. Chris "The original O's fan member of the family!"</p></p></p>

<p><p><p>Thank you for the words of praise. It holds extra weight when a staff member gives out rep. I wonder how strange it must feel to be like a celebrity amoung us die hard Orioles fans. You deserve whatever comes your way in the future. Thanks for starting the site. Thanks for helping out with your service time for our country in Iraq.</p></p></p>

  15. <p><p><p>Greg,</p></p></p>

<p><p><p>Thanks for the comment about my thread. I hope it was somewhat informative for the staff for the future. Thanks for the rep. I really enjoy your comments on many aspects of the site. Keep up the great work and the best of luck. Chris</p></p></p>

<p><p><p>Thanks for the message. Last year in Reading was great. I had a chance to talk to Nolan's mom and dad outside the clubhouse. They could not have been nicer. My kids met and got their balls signed by Nolan, Matt W. Tillman, Brad B, Jason B, and Dave H. Actually Rommie Lewis walked by us as my kids aren't good at asking to get their balls signed (ages 4 & 6) and without asking he came back and asked them if he could sign their balls. Nice gesture. Also got a picture with the kids with Chris Tillman as he was charting pitches that day in August. Do you get up to Reading when they are here? If so maybe sometime I could say hello at the games. I try to get to most of the Bowie ones. Thanks again. Merry Christmas. Chris</p></p></p>
