  1. Bazardo could be a decent middle reliever/replacement for Krehbiel if he struggles.
  2. But think of all the money the Angeloses are saving! They could potentially buy another house/boat/fancy car!
  3. Yea, I didn't really want Turner either lol. I'm to young to get this exasperated this easily
  4. but but but... FrAzIeR iS a LeFtY!
  5. The ongoing question I have.... why can't we just get better players?
  6. I told you we'd agree eventually! I would not want him for that deal.
  7. Add in Benintendi for 5 years 75M (yikes).
  8. K. I still have no idea why you think the Orioles would make someone the third highest paid player on the team to not play him (in any event he has been told he is here to play every day).Agree to disagree, I'm sure we'll meet again in another thread (and maybe we'll agree?)
  9. I remember a few years ago the Rays signing Carlos Gomez (or as my Wisconsin friends say, "Go-Go Gomez" because of a complaint that they weren't spending enough. So there may be something to this.
  10. I don't hate Hill as a low risk signing, but we should be looking for more serious upgrades.
  11. A signing as odd and head-scratching as Frazier. I guess Oakland thinks they can flip him at the deadline.
  12. What indication have you received that 2023 is any different than 2022 with respect to payroll and asset allocation?
  13. Again, the Orioles are not paying someone $8M - the second or third highest on their payroll - to eventually not play. Odor kept playing despite sucking, and Frazier makes 8 time what he made...
  14. You are a good/smart poster, but I cannot waste my time anymore explaining this to you. The Orioles budget is X and it should be used on good players and positions of needed. Now it is X - $8M, leaving less money to, hopefully, spend on better players and positions of need. That's all I can say at this point, if my position is not clear, then so be it.
  15. I assume you do want that, but Frazier at $8M - second highest on our team - is not that. Not even close.
  16. Why waste the $8M though? Just put Urias at second and invest the $8M on a better more useful player.
  17. No, they should be using their limited resources to add BETTER PLAYERS at positions of need (i.e. SP (Eovaldi/Bassitt) and DH (Brantley)). At least for me, it's much more about poor resource allocation.
  18. I don't think you understood the point of my question. Why sign a second baseman when you have significant depth at the position and the position is filled, especially when there are more glaring holes on the team and you (seemingly) have limited resources?
  19. That's all well and good, but why spend $8M on a player when you have Henderson, Mateo, Urias, Westburg, Norby, and Vavra?
  20. Urias for Carrasco now, with Urias platooning with McNeil and playing some third? Really just trying to make this make sense.
  21. Amazing how they can seem so smart with some stuff and so idiotic with others. This makes ZERO sense... this makes the Jake Cave claim from a few weeks ago seem like a brilliant move.
  22. Right. A minor league deal? Sure. One year one million? Don't think it's necessary, but why not? But $8M? That is more than any position player on the team makes... and it's Adam Freaking Frazier.
  23. Yup, this. If you want an offensive player, fine, but get an upgrade. Get Brantley, or JD Martinez, or someone that might move the needle. If you have endless funds then sure, sign Frazier. But they don't. This appears to be an awful allocation of limited resources, simply put.
