  1. Anyone who's out there, for those still holding out hope for Rodon, Bassitt, and Eovaldi instead of Taillon.
  2. I've been following this guy since the offseason started. Worried he's about as reliable a s Belkast, though.
  3. Correction; home opener is not until game 7. Still think that is how it starts out though, or something like that.
  4. Here is how I hope/see it lining up for the start of the season: 1. Kremer (they'll want to start with one of their own) 2. Free Agent (Bassitt/Taillon/Walker/Rodon?) 3. Bradish 4. Rodriguez (starts home opener) 5. Gibson Wells and Voth as swing guys in the pen.
  5. Good to see. Hopefully this means its just a depth signing, not someone who they actually intend to give at bats to.
  6. The Orioles have a lot more work to do this offseason lol. a LOT.
  7. Fair enough. I am okay with it as depth move. Really depends how they see this.
  8. I guess a lot of us (myself included) don't fully understand the meaning of it being a split contract.
  9. I'd be incredibly disappointed if this is one of the two bats Elias was referring to. But you might be right.
  10. Certainly not an exciting signing. Has some pop. I'm okay with him as a spot starter like Nevin was last year, but this better not be them filling the Aguilar/Mancini hole.
  11. Fine as a bench bat I suppose - really hoping they aren't expecting regular at bats for him. Also, kind of redundant with Diaz? https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/c/cordefr02.shtml
  12. Not saying you're wrong, but would be pretty pathetic if that scares them off from signing a top starter.
  13. I don't hate it WietersCorner, but am not that excited about "upgrading" the rotation with 2 of those 3. Really want Lopez or Bassitt, at least.
  14. I disagree. While it did not directly state that we would be spending, it seemed to mean that we would be "lifting off,' i.e. trying to win next year, i.e. bringing in players to reach that goal.
  15. What do you consider "lavishly? Aside from Correa, Verlander deGrom, and Rodon, none of those players require "lavish" spending in today's market.
  16. Again, they should be trading players AND signing free agents. They should not foreclose any avenues to improve the team. And frankly, I could not care less that they are crying about being a "small market team" now. They have spent money in the past, they have a low payroll, and they can and should spend money to improve the team now.
