Best things about this season so far,
1. Mancini
2. Means
3. Smith Jr
4. Nunez
Agreed. With Ruiz, Cashner, Villar and Severino clocking in as "decent things about this season so far."

Sold hits last night. Loved how he smoked two to the right center gap. Average defense and an OPS over .750 would be just fine for next year.
-
Keep him, trade him, whatever they do, he is a breath of fresh air to watch. We haven't had a player like him since Good B-Rob. He knows how to work a count, steals bases, has energy. Polar opposite from Schoop.

Zimmerman looking good tonight, 5 innings, one run, five strikeouts so far for Bowie.

First ML Homer went oppo... nice.

I wouldn't put him as #1 right now, but he does seem to be getting a few more starts (though I'm sure the game times helped that more than anything.) If Wynns and Joseph split time, that is fine by me. Get him used to working with the pitchers that will be here next year.
His hitting is definitely better than even I thought it would be right now, as he is going the other way on some tough pitches. His hit off Kimbrel and his opposite field grouder against the Rays shift are the two recent examples that I didn't see him do a lot of in the minors.
Defense is as advertised. Should have a higher "caught stealing" percentage if Nunez and Beckham could field better, but it happens.
Orioles post game shows with Dempsey seem to really love Wynns.
I see no reason not to give Wynns the majority of the starts the rest of the season. What value does Joseph have? He only has a little more control left and if all goes as planned, Sisco or Cumberland will eventually take over as the Orioles starting catcher. We know what Joseph is - may as well see what we have in Wynns.

I like Matt K, and if he thinks we did well, I feel a bit better. The Schoop trade excites me. He's a good player but he's been on fire lately, and I think that helped us get Carmona and Ortiz.

Villar is on the DL at the moment and had a breakout year last season, may be a good MLB pickup
under control for the next two years... probably takes over as every day second baseman. Not bad honestly.

I don't hate the Brewers deal.

I wonder why the KG return hasn't been announced.

Glasnow, Meadows, and a third piece for Archer. That's a hefty pay.

Cashner signing

Do we really need a team to eat much of his contract? If we trade him in July he'll be owed under $4M to finish the season. I would much rather see if we could get someone in a team's top 20 than get salary relief. I know looks can be deceiving, but Cashner is not only posting good numbers but he is passing the eye test.
