  1. “On August 16, 1969, burly Baltimore Orioles slugger Boog Powell, who weighs 250 pounds, hits an two run inside-the-park home run at Sicks Stadium in the 9th inning off former teammate Steve Barber. The slow-footed Powell’s rare use of speed helps the Orioles to a 15-3 win over the Seattle Pilots. https://thisdayinbaseball.com/burly-baltimore-orioles-slugger-boog-powell-hits-an-inside-park-homerun/
  2. So all the hundreds of scouts who have seen and analyzed players for the last year are all wrong and the OP is right because he doesn’t think he “looks like” a 1/1. Give me a break.
  3. Learn your cliches, your cliches are your friends
  4. A rotation with Voth and Watkins in it is not a playoff rotation
  5. Hanging curve ball .. good thing he was not Aaron Judge
  6. This guy Voth is not a big league rotation starter
  7. This is what winning teams in the AL east do. We eke out a few bloopy hits and get the bases loaded and Kluber just turns it up so much that our guys had zero contact, not even a hard foul. Odor’s ball was a moral victory and only ball that any kind of contact occurred. These bottom feeder hitters need to learn how to bunt. And then we give it right back. This is why we are still the last place team in this division
  8. This… exactly. Lopez is AllStar .. his value is peak and can only go down . Tate is a regression waiting to happen.. peak value … Move them
  9. For me, if they sweep, then I will start thinking yeah, go for it. But if they lose 3/4 or get swept, then I am selling.
  10. Yeah well so much for that plan .. another Sunday series loss to Yankees .. what else is new? Time to go do something else.
  11. 2 outs, first base open .. and Judge has seen him once … different situation . I will stick with IBB in that situation. I saw Bonds get an IBB with bases loaded.
  12. If you have pitchers that can accurately locate it when they wish to, it would not be a problem then. If Rizzo homers, fine by me.. tip your hat. But Judge right now is ridiculously hot.
  13. Right handed first basemen are at a disadvantage there having to swipe all the way around their body to tag
  14. Hyde needs to be asked about thst dumb decision to pitch to Judge. At the absolute worst you throw 4 balls all outside the zone .. but oh no .. meatball to the zone He is more dangerous now than Bonds was at his prime. And Bonds got walked ALL the time. Pitching to him again this entire game will only cause more runs every time he is up.
  15. I wonder if he is having health issues .. he looks absolutely fatigued at the plate and in the field
  16. The critical at bat in this game right here
  17. No stupid excuse for that ..I know Lyles has done prettY well for us but I just hate watching him pitch
  18. Can they just get past their daggone ego and walk him? He is as dangerous right now as Bonds ever was
