  1. But in answer...if the projections stay where they are at the moment, I think a symbolic number of games may be played this year...maybe starting in June by MLB even if there are risks in order to not cancel an entire season which has never been done. But those games will be held in the laboratory isolation type mode being discussed...no fans attending, etc.
  2. I agree. Between the economic factors and the fears now introduced, I too think congregate based activities...sporting events, concerts, theater, cinema, even churches will be impacted severely. The streaming and broadcast business model is going to have to be expanded and improved even more if professional leagues are to survive.
  3. I didn't like it then. Don't like it now. In particular, the first leagues to go appear to be historic leagues that are in Appalachia and the Pioneer League in Utah, Colorado, Montana, Idaho... But we shall see what happens. Certainly now, many minor league teams may indeed go under, many more than this contraction seeks.
  4. Ummm...that is not how it works in my experience. Which is why it is a TV show.
  5. That's when I used to cheat in my Strat-O-Matic leagues.
  6. As a Johns Hopkins grad and psychiatrist, I would say your assessment is accurate. As a psychologist, he is an excellent celebrity TV person.
  7. Dr.Phil is not and never has been a psychiatrist who are physicians. He is a psychologist, who come from graduate schools of psychology, no medical training at all..Zero.
  8. I have said this before, but Mike bringing in Koby Perez will be 5 years from now seen as his absolute best move. I am a huge fan and expect we will see many, many things international front wise that we have never seen done by our organization ever before. https://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/orioles/bs-sp-orioles-koby-perez-one-year-20200106-xxie3u5q2ffyrmisgofh4zg4du-story.html
  9. Does you have the standings somewhere?...how does it work about other team games...does it provide you with details of non Orioles games? Thanks!!
  10. Rather than Two Pack Stanhouse for Earl, it would be Six Pack Givens for you...lol.
  11. It is astounding though...reading through the details of his journeyman career, multiple DFAs, free agent, minor league deals, traded for limited prospects, etc....then, at the end of this journey...he must have made some kind of Damn Yankees deal with the devil...now, for the rest of his life, he will be the guy, only Red Sox with Yaz, who hit 3 homers in the World Series, the only guy other than Babe Ruth and Ted Kluzewski older than 35 to do so....he will be a retired legend in New England for the rest of his life.
  12. Here is my favorite grumpy Orioles fan...

  14. He was a big part of our success from 1970 through 79 then managed the Royals and Cubs to World Series and playoff appearances ...great baseball man. Rest in Peace!
  15. Yes...me too. Heim went straight up for Pearce then straight up by Tampa to Oakland for Joey Wendle....he has been valued by several organizations.
  16. Pretty solid understanding of his swing...maybe a hitting coach.
  17. Yes, and it seems Jonah Heim may turn out yet to be a bit more than the defensive catcher backup type...he was impressive this spring with As till shutdown. https://buffalonews.com/2020/04/14/jonah-heim-mlb-oakland-athletics-las-vegas-aviators-milb-amherst/
  18. I went...and daggone near froze to death....Alberto surprised me with his power in the cold. Davis fouled one off and you could see him getting that sting out of his fingers.
