For me the All-or-nothing brand of baseball is unwatchable. MLB can juice the ball to their hearts content but I’m not going to support it financially.Manfred’s assertion that the ball was within limits is disingenuous at best.
This is the elephant in the room. I’m encouraged that his walk rate continues to increase along with his XBH percentage while his strikeout rate is decreasing. To me, these are indications of continued success. Hopefully
Of course it was but it shows that the age of the recipient wasn’t ever a factor. The award was meant to be merit based on a single season not a prelude to a HOF career.
Baksheesh for buscones. It’s hard to spend international monies when the people that control the talent have been shunned by the team for years. Make nice with the shady SOBs.
Harvey had never pitched a 5 month season, let alone 6 months. He’s still in the early stages of his professional development. No need to push him in a lost season.
I would want advocates of data driven analysis in every position possible.
For us old guys it isn’t so much as being Luddites but we are more skeptical of new ideas. We want to see something proven before we will endorse it. So we fall behind the curve.
MLB held the rights to DC when the Senators2 moved to Texas. Baltimore never had any legal claim to keep a team out of Washington.
What the Orioles had was the DC cable revenue which has always been considered apart from the Baltimore region by the FCC. So Mr. Angelos did a masterful job of obtaining media rights from southern Virginia to Pennsylvania.

Thank you.
Since he has to added or pass through rule 5, a September call up doesn’t seem to be unreasonable. It isn’t enough service time to be of a major concern in my opinion.
