  1. That's plenty, keeps him sharp while not overworking him.
  2. Maybe on the playoff roster, but not in the rotation?
  3. Well, WC should probably be GM, but they seem to be doing ok.
  4. Maybe, but everyone knows BP sessions are not the same. It would be ideal to get him into the last game, maybe only for an abbreviated five IP. He'll still get the rest he needs.
  5. Exactly right. However, I really don't think he knew what he had in Bradish. He was counting on Rodriguez becoming the ace. That is arguably questionable if you don't know what you have in GrayRod, but he was probably more likely the guy they saw as a true ace, probably still is-eventually. The stuff is better, but not by a whole lot. The slider Bradish throws is filthy. And when he's touching 96-97 with command he is every bit an ace. The future is looking bright with both of them and right now, Bradish is leading the way.
  6. How great is it that Bradish knows he can bury a two strike slider down and Rutschman is there to smother it?
  7. Ditto. Him, Frank, Palmer, Paul Blair and of course Earl were the reasons I became an Orioles fan. Brooks was a class act.
  8. Palmer responding to Brown’s,” Do you know the mascot….?” “Uh, know we don’t, Kevin.” Like he was thinking,” but I’m sure you’re about to tell us.”
  9. ….torn left wrist tendon sheath.
  10. Hasn’t been the same since coming back from the IL.
  11. There’s no way Rodriguez is left out. Let me clarify that statement. He’ll be one of the first three.
  12. Wow, the complete package, she bakes and likes baseball.
  13. I said the same in the game thread. Good game today including throwing out a base stealer.
  14. I know exactly what you mean and I agree. It’s his job to lose and if it doesn’t work it looks like he can be of value in the bullpen.
  15. He looked very good today and he’s only had one bad inning since coming back up. I wonder if they stretch him out come springtime. His CH and slider look better to me and he’s improved command. I’m fine with him in the bullpen, but I do think he could still be a starter. He certainly looks better like a better option than either Lopez or Fujinami for the last week.
  16. My dad is from Rochester and that’s how me and my brothers started following the Orioles. The ‘70 series against the Reds is etched in my memory. In those days there World Series was played at day time and pops let me miss school to watch a game. He wrote a note for me to take to the nuns the next day explaining I needed to experience the great American cultural pastime of baseball. Needless to say, they weren’t having any.
  17. I’ve never been a huge fan, but he’s done his job this year. Takes the ball every start and goes deep enough to not tax the pen. Added plus that he’s a great person.
  18. Yes….wonder if they stretch him out in the spring. Right now he looks very good. He’s only had the one bad inning.
