  1. Hey Yankees, that was like the dirty bed sheet scene in Trainspotting.
  2. May be cheaper to walk Soto, walk Judge to force one in and face Wells.
  3. Gummy hands. Lord. Understandable with the time off, but man. There's never a bad time to fail to get our no. 3, but this could bite 'em and hard.
  4. Saving this one to send to my NY friends. Thank you, sir.
  5. Welcome back, Mounty! Announcing his presence with authority. Love that guy.
  6. Hating, smchating. Judge has something like 70 lbs on him. But yeah, take Cruz' sliding mitts off, too.
  7. Remember how the NCAA banned dunks in the mid 60s and it was squarely aimed at Lew Alcindor? I think someone as tall as Judge should banned for having those sliding mitts. He doesn't need the extra reach.
  8. I'm judging just the idea of simply pitching to him. I hope he finds a league with people his own size one day.
  9. I hope I was clear, that I do not run in musician circles that do anything stronger than pot. That's about as wild as my musical network gets. I don't partake as smoking adversely affects my voice. I may have heard of Special K on some crime show, but it wasn't anything that stuck in my head. The cereal is what comes to mind. I like the Silent K nickname better anyway.
  10. Pretty much the same for me, and I'm a musician and supposedly more exposed to the so-called drug culture the last 40 years. But I'm also 62 and not hip to the street, as such. For the record, if he starts blazing at the bat like Gunnar early on, I'll be happy to call him Kjer-STUD.
  11. Different era obviously, but Rochester AAA manager Earl Weaver replaced O's skipper Hank Bauer in '68, just a year and a half after Bauer won the World Series.
  12. I feel that way, too. I keep thinking about 2005. 2005: 10 games over .500 on June 20th. 1st place, two games up. Shortly after they went on a 2-16 skid, and their last game at .500 was at the the start of that awful home 4 game series in late July when the White Sox swept them, and Raffy was exposed as taking PEDs. They fell under .500 that series and kept on sinking. 2024: 24 games over .500 on June 20th. 2nd place, a half game back. Then immediately lose five straight. Due to their great start, they can't finish 14 under .500, but the dive feels eerily similar with all of the injuries, dormant bats, and all happening at the same time of year. The floor coming out from underneath them feels a lot like it. That team was cooked by late July and by the first week of August, Mazzilli got the axe. That won't happen with Hyde this time, as they had a fine start this year, but this can't happen two years in a row under him.
  13. Just like they drew it up. At the Johns Hopkins Asylum.
  14. He got two more hits on Thursday night when I was there. Strong arm, but I think he overthrew one, but maybe the guy had the base stolen already. Rogers looked good, but one inning he loaded the bases. But he got out with no score. Jacob Webb looked decent.
  15. That one got my attention. I was up in the next section. Impressed with him in my first eyes on him experience.
  16. I was at this one tonight. Basallo is one big dude. Impressed in seeing him for the first time ever.
