At first I thought, "well, maybe if Iggy Pop sang it, he'd do it in his style and she's doing the same thing", but no, that was just a display of someone who should have never been asked to sing at this kind of event. I love all kinds of cracked strange voices, ie. Lou Reed, Neil Young, Dylan. But that was enough to irritate one's bowels and loosen one's fillings.

But he went full steam and beat the late throw after the bobble.

I mentioned in the game thread that the ending reminded me of the Andino walkoff on the last game of '11. The LF misplayed that ball, too, trying to slide and catch it. I thought he had it, but he got it on the bounce. Of course in today's case the LF misjudged it and slipped.

I was there. It was the first baseball game that I've walked out on in years. Tides had the lead, then Durham put up something like 8 runs in an inning and we left in the 8th or so. A bit depressing that the AAA team and the big league team get blown out like that on the same day (I was tracking the O's on my phone at the game). Plus we got soaked by a crazy violent rainstorm before play even started. Just an overall loser of a day. At least the rain cooled things off. It's been over 100 this week where I live.
