  1. I was gigging in Philly and DC last weekend and I so wanted to at least drive by to see it. I've only done drive bys, but on TV it looks really, really nice. I love the cityscape in the distance. Probably looks better at night and not through the Canadian smoke.
  2. Looks like lottery numbers (not that I play the lottery).
  3. Just saw the box score. Philly drew 44k fans on a Monday night. That’s surprising.
  4. I command thee to dance! From the game thread.
  5. Thanks. It's one of my worst mashups ever as I'm on my Mac Mini using Photoscape instead of Photoshop, but the amateurish style kind of "brings the room together".
  6. My wife was reading OH over my shoulder and said, "hey that guy calls him The Crab, too! Me: "Honey, that's me." To be fair, we both came up with it.
  7. Rally time! Just like we drew it up, right?
  8. I'd almost forgotten about him. In his Red Sox days, I called him The Crab.
  9. We were talking about hitting the cutoff man earlier. That's how you do it. Nice relay.
  10. I was stealing third in high school and the throw was high. The 3rd baseman came down on my left ring finger where it joins the hand. Bled like crazy. I called time and went behind the concession stand to throw up. I was taken to the emergency room for stitches. I have a body full of stitches from my sports youth.
  11. Agreed. It was not a strong throw. I just like to see the cut off man hit in case there's another play somewhere than the plate. Not seeing baseball fundamentals have always been my biggest pet peeve. That and infielders not getting in front of a ball when it's possible. Brooks took so many bad hops to his chest that he turned into outs instead of doing the matador side step.
  12. Hit the showers and go to the Fanduel Lounge.
  13. One plus was that he hit the cut off man. So many times, we don't see that.
  14. That what it looked like to me. The inertia of his upper foot just slid over the bag and went up as the rest of his body approached the bag.
  15. I actually like them. I'm also glad they abandoned that wine color they were using for some time.
  16. I was trying to remember who mocked the "Mystique and Aura Appearing Nightly" slogan the Yankees had about two decades ago. I researched and it was reminded that it was Curt Schilling. He said Mystique and Aura sounded like two strippers, which I thought was a good comeback. That's where I got the "appearing nightly" part of my suggestion.
  17. Maybe the O's can run with this as the final stretch marketing. The '23 Orioles. Smoke AND Mirrors. Appearing nightly.
  18. So glad we're past that Dodgers series. I shudder to look at the ERA for that one. Glad they're doing whatever it takes to win and be able to climb atop AL East.
  19. Kinda wild. I had noticed his record when I was looking something up on him last week. ERA currently is 3.49 Was looking at some other unlikely W/L records of relievers: Brach was 10-4 in '16 / 2.04 ERA O'Day was 7-1 in '12 / 2.28 ERA As for as W/L, Baumann may likely eclipse theirs with win pct., though his ERA is not close, for now.
  20. I agree. Eventually 1-5 today, but he did have the first RBI today with that double that scored Gunnar.
