  1. Bobby Hill (Hank's son) is not a swift runner.
  2. And did it in just 6 pitches. Hopefully the 9th will not be a burden and take many.
  3. Does Hyde smoke? Maybe he should take it up when our relief comes in. Just kidding. I know Earl did, Full Pack yada yada.
  4. Does the Camden Yards LF wall have any incentive for Verlander or others who would have to waive a no-trade clause to Baltimore? I'm sure not as much incentive as Kate, but it could help him sleep better at night knowing a bushel of HRs in most other parks would be outs at OPACY. Of course, in keeping with the thread, there are likely *other* reasons he sleeps well at night.
  5. That, my friends, is the start of a great, great, country song.
  6. I saw that once on a bathroom wall in a dive bar about 20 years ago. It was a bit more graphic, but it still makes me giggle sometimes. Btw, (you can look it up), I was the guy who wrote the original "I was in Whiskeytown and all I got was this lousy t-shirt" graffiti. I wrote it on the wall at the Continental Club in Austin TX after I played a gig there.
  7. I'm a sap, but I think seeing The Bird waving that postgame win flag would have gotten me choked up had I seen this in person.
  8. First one I ever paid for and drove to was Mother's Finest and Black Oak Arkansas at NC State in '77. First one I saw, and it was part of admission to a amusement park (Carowinds) around '75 was Starbuck and Mary MadGregor. It's a wonder I ever learned to rock after that.
  9. "Here we are in '82". One of the songs that became dated faster than most.
  10. Pretty close! The kids and I are Secret Monkey Weekend. We play our first Baltimore gig on Friday August 11 at Monument City Brewing. 10pm show, ie. hopefully after the O's game is over. Catching the day game vs. Astros the day before as a family.
  11. I'm more of a beach ball guy myself. I'm not fond of the wave either. I can still punch something and watch the game.
  12. I guess folks were tired of getting wet in the Bird Bath and this was the best they could come up with. Maybe it's how they dry off.
  13. They didn't have a cam of John Angelos' wallet. We'll see.
  14. Like walking around the office with an interoffice envelope to look busy.
  15. When they come up with technology for what a player is thinking, then sign me up. Will be more amusing than what comes out of their mouths. But it's crazy having players take their minds off the games in those in-game interviews. It's not a time to be multi-tasking. The game is hard enough as it is.
  16. Stop those questions! Can't you see the guy is trying to do his job.
  17. Not a fan of the in-game interview. It takes players' minds off game. Ridiculous.
  18. Just tuning in. Did I miss anything? Note: the beer is *really* cold.
