  1. Tarp on, but no drizzle the last half hour. about 20 to 35% chance of rain through 3pm. Far less than predicted a day ago.
  2. He doesn't have an active account on here anymore, but I read his Facebook posts frequently and we interact a good bit.
  3. Agreed. I've heard it most of the year. I don't like it, but it's what they have. I'm guessing it's like a limiter or noise gate like recording studios use.
  4. To be fair, I've noticed that every time I do the radio feed on MLB-TV or At Bat, ie crowd noise goes down when the broadcaster is speaking and sometimes longer.
  5. I got the walks wrong in my guess. It was 8 instead of 11 (in his 2nd no-no). "“Double No-Hit,” as Vander Meer would soon be nicknamed, began his remarkable stretch on June 11 at Crosley Field in Cincinnati, walking three while striking out four and allowing no hits and no runner past first base in a 3-0 win against the Boston Bees. Four days later, on June 15, Vander Meer walked eight and struck out seven while holding the Dodgers hitless in a 6-0 triumph in the first night game at Brooklyn’s Ebbets Field." Jim Palmer had six BB in his only no-hitter.
  6. Johnny Van Der Meer, (sic). I think one of those no-nos, he had 11 or so walks! But still unrivaled. Vander Meer
  7. It is. I could not get TBS or whoever's covering it too, unblocked on YouTube TV, so I looked and MLB-TV has the MASN feed.
  8. I may switch over to the Houston feed and rewind to see if they had a view of that Mountcastle blast. Has anyone done that yet? I'm just catching up on thread and am a half inning behind on MLB-TV.
  9. I vote for Mountcastle. He seems the silliest, most fun-loving and one who loves a good laugh the most.
  10. Definitely reminded me of the Jon Miller scenario for not being "homer" enough for Peter Angelos.
  11. I haven't read every post in this thread, but the urgency of simply doing something about Mateo seems a good bit more than the Odor situation last year. There's a guy chomping at the bit in Norfolk and has actually played some games already with the O's, ie. 15 games and 34 plate appearances. Even if there's a further adjustment period for adapting to MLB pitching, his defense, by all accounts, is the best in the system. Are we back to the idea that Hyde or Elias are timid about upsetting a 3 year veteran with a career slash of .222 .268 .364 .632
  12. I'm out of rep, so if anyone deserves it the next inning and 2/3, instead may I suggest my signature spice curls?
  13. Santander gave a slight look at the pitcher after that as if to say, "don't take this ass whuppin' personal"
  14. Laughable results on that pinball machine bounce play. Danger everywhere, Blue Jays - beware!
  15. If he's found a way around vertigo, then he may need to market it and clean up. He's looking "switched on" as Austin Powers would say. Really happy for how things are going for him right now.
