  1. Maybe we can embarrass him into taking a buyout.
  2. Interesting insights. All I know is that the results are there.
  3. yeah, I mean in five years my grandparents are gone, all three kids are in college (which means I am broke) and I'm approaching 50. Let's go with three....!
  4. Actually oldfan has a good point, but many are too young to realize it. Unlike Buck, oldfan is telling it like it is.
  5. Very comforting to hear this. I don't care about winning. I sleep better at night just knowing that Chris and others are "good friends" with Buck.
  6. No, they will bench him and put Davis back in the lineup.
  7. That would be good if they did. But what is worse--and quite probable--is that nothing is said, but rather they hold it in. That is the kind of thing that makes for a bad environment.
  8. I honestly thought this post was satire. I can't believe he said this. You can't make this stuff up.
  9. Sooner or later they will have to do it for the "morale" of the whole team. But you probably have to play him to ever hope to get a buy out. Now why Buck continues to insist on him being in the heart of the lineup, I have no idea. IF you asked Buck about last night he would probably say something like, "Look at what Manny did, that proves that I made the right move with Davis hitting behind him."
  10. I agree. But Christ needs to have the worst season in history in order to encourage him to take a buy out. BUT Buck does not need to bat him 4th.
  11. The issue is not necessarily not resigning Flash, but having absolutely no other depth. Clearly we should have had a lefty bat with a good glove ready in case Beckham stunk.
  12. Yes, I only wish we knew he could hit before we signed Davis. I mean, Trey showed no signs in the minors that he could hit. This has been totally unexpected.
  13. BUT, he hit it. Baby steps. He looked much better than last night. Maybe he will bat 7th tonight.....he seems to be going down one slot each game...
  14. We will know that answer this September.
  15. Exactly, and clearly he is not right mentally or physiologically. The issue is not a physical one, but internal. Whoever is responsible for this contract should not be employed next year.
  16. I'm hearing he may have tore his ACL breaking the bat last night...
  17. At least Stanton is swinging and has incredible bat speed. He is just pressing. Chris is so lost I don't even know how to explain it.
  18. I totally agree. You can't let one guy's issues destroy an entire season. If they handle it properly, it could not only help Chris, but the entire team. It will demoralize the team if it continues. This will have to be an organizational decision, not merely a managerial or GM one. One can only wonder what type of trouble this is causing in Chris' personal life as well.
  19. Thank you. And I want to be clear that I am not trying to in any way be "mean" spirited here. I sincerely think something is going on with him mentally.
  20. I'm not so sure about this. In one at bat he watched three meatballs right down the middle. Then in his last at bat, he was bent on bunting. But you could read his body language. He is mentally lost. Something is going on in his mind. It is crazy. Can you DL for mental "injuries"?
