  1. This inning? His defense has been awful all Spring.
  2. Maverick Handley. Low level catcher, but could work his way up to be the backup in a few seasons. Good “catch and throw” guy with a rifle arm.
  3. The way he almost came out his shoes on some of his swings, that wouldn’t be a shock.
  4. Did you forget the green font?
  5. Wouldn’t he be traded for 2 DSL prospects by 2025?
  6. Yeah, it was pretty amazing especially considering how the “Orioles Physical” was billed at that time.
  7. Or Yermin Mercedes or Wynston Sawyer.
  8. Considering neither is doing either one well at all and defense can help a pitcher...
  9. Uh, not play them? Use Wynns and Cuiffo (who is apparently a very good defensive catcher) or trade for someone’s Taxi Squad bound guy who is probably an upgrade over Sisco and Severino behind the dish.
  10. Severino needs to catch an Uber back to Sarasota.
  11. Warning: The following may contain scenes not suitable for all audiences. Viewer discretion is advised.
  12. MLB game day showed it right down the middle. Can’t do that to a guy like Mountcastle.
  13. Tom’s River, NJ could probably take a “best of seven” series.
  14. Personal feeling aside... Severino and Sisco have absolutely sucked this Spring. I know a lot of people will say “it’s Spring Training, I don’t care.” But when the two “locks” are both struggling at the plate AND behind the dish, something has to give. As of this post, Severino is hitting .080 with one extra base hit this Spring and in today’s game so far, made Mike Piazza look Johnny Bench. The look of “not caring” while behind the dish last year is carrying over. Sisco has been better with the bat, but has also shown why he shouldn’t be behind the plate. Multiple steals, poor game calling and weak defense. When your starting rotation looks to be made up mostly of “fresh off the farm” arms, with several more on the cusp, the last thing you want your pitchers to have is a giant hole behind the plate (and in the infield too, but that’s another topic.) I hope during these last 2 weeks, Hyde and company are paying attention and not just checking their NCAA brackets.
  15. “I should celebrate St. Patrick’s Day after every game.”
  16. Bowie and Norfolk should be stacked and could make a run for their respective titles.
  17. What pisses me off is how they keep giving some of the players extra, extra, extra, extra chances and they get the same result and pretty much assure everyone those are the “locks.”
  18. Called a “wild pitch” on game day.
  19. The .083 average right now really shows it.
  20. I wonder: If Severino and Sisco weren’t struggling as bad, would Hyde have played them as much to try and get them in a groove, or would he have given them more games off and have Rutschman in?
  21. He was never in the Eastern League. South Atlantic League, in the other hand...
  22. For me, it’s the success of Mullins once he stopped trying to switch hit. I shouldn’t be as shocked, but he seems really dialed in.
