  1. "Fan Fest" would disagree. I wonder if they will still open the gates at 5, or earlier.
  2. "If you can play shortstop on here, you'll be fine at Camden Yards."
  3. Simple: Sign Trumbo to a MiLB deal. In the Spring, have him pitch to Davis. If Davis hits a home run 8/10 times, he keeps his spot. If Trumbo strikes him out 8/10, Trumbo gets the spot. If neither happens, they both get released.
  4. I thought First Prize was an arm workout session with Roch?
  5. *Overpriced food and drink (Since you need to be a Birdland Member)
  6. What happens quicker: They fully book this event or I shred my renewal reminder?
  7. I guess instead of FanFest, the Orioles are now inviting Season Ticket members to Hot Stove shows on Thursdays, by emailing them Tuesday night. This week is Roch Kubatko and Jim Hunter.
  8. Was Brooks off the 40 man roster already, or does this get him off it?
  9. If this is the route they are going, I'm gonna save money by not renewing and just buying second hand tickets.
  10. Is "Casey Cares" the samething that he sponsors with his batting thing, where people who donate can take a modified batting practice on the field?
  11. Two cuts that were missed: Kirvin Moesquiet and Alex Murphy were released during the season. Also, one interesting note: Joel Polanco was released from his Norfolk contract but was then signed as the MLB bullpen catcher, partnering with Dustin Hughes.
  12. Maybe they took him off the 40 with the hope of signing him back to a MiLB deal with a Spring Training invite if he doesn't get an MLB deal elsewhere.
  13. Him and his 5 threads per day on any and every thing. Waiting for "Should Elias switch from 'David's Sunflower Seeds' to 'Bigs'?" thread.
  14. If Norfolk is lost, Bowie probably bumps up to AAA and gets stadium improvements. Frederick could go to AA (or Delmarva, with their recent stadium upgrades.) Aberdeen can move up to A/A+ easily.
  15. Then market FanFest around "the future" and do more to include the Minor League stars. Not everyone can, or wants, to drive to Delmarva, or Norfolk, or hit up every affiliate.
  16. When you market who you currently have and build interest in the brand now, it will pay off more later.
  17. Correct, but there was a lot of grumbling from people on other sites about how dissatisfied they were about Season Ticket stuff this year. The mid season autograph session, Orioles Talk, lack of "Social Media Night," and now Fan Fest. Plus, the "rewards" this season. Like ocean said, they need to announce something quickly. They need to do a lot more "fan friendly" stuff if they want people to stick around during the rebuild.
  18. Just a place holder until @Enjoy Terror does his yearly, extremely awesome post documenting every single move... Jace Peterson and Jesus Sucre have both officially filed for free agency, along with a dozen or so players from other teams.
  19. I've been to Nats "Winterfest" and Orioles "FanFest." FanFest was, by far, the superior of the two experiences. I've talked to a lot of people who go to the other events by other teams (caravans, meet and greets, something with "fest" involved in the name) and the concensous has always been "I wish *team* would do their FanFest like Baltimore!" The autographs, touring Camden Yards, the promo room, the Kids Autograph line, the different chats, the team store and the discounts during the day, the Minor League teams booths, the Authentics shop, the card and misc. dealers...It is awesome and there is something to do for everyone, no matter the age and level of fandom.
  20. I forget, was it his left or right ankle that got injured in Texas?
