  1. I thought Ryan played excellent defense at 3rd for Manny. No he wasnt Manny, most aren't. But, he was a plus defender and wasnt Mark Reynolds at 3rd.
  2. Yankees bring up ex-Orioles Source = MLBTR
  3. This team is not tanking. Hyde said, he appreciate that this team, with the exception of a couple of blowouts, is always competing. Losing 2-1 in extras innings on the road, sucks. But, it could always be worse.
  4. I think last season slow starting took all new meaning for Kevin.
  5. or walking in his apartment parking lot and get napped by a pothole.
  6. Who was it that helped Britton work on the sinker and thats was turned him from one leg out of baseball into a premier closer for a couple of years?
  7. If Hyde left him in and he gives up the HR, then the posters would be complaining about that.
  8. I think Buck was fine, when DD had control of the team. King Peter took back control, and it went down the poop chute.
  9. Kevin is not having the best of seasons for Atlanta, so far, but I know. SSS.
  10. If he can also pitch in relief, that is a major plus.
  11. i think we have been spoiled at 3rd, 1st Brooks, and even Cal some at the end of his career and then Manny all with cannons.
  12. Been a bunch of pitching coaches here and yet quality pitchers have struggled to develop here.
  13. Jamie Moyer was a classic pitcher that didnt have the hard heater, but had a great change, and good amount of MPH difference between the two, had pretty good success.
  14. Just another Orioles prospect, high on hype, and didnt amount to as much as they felt he could have. I dont blame Brady, there are others dicking around with their delivery. Brady was just a trainer trying to get their body into physical shape to play the game. But, as evident from pitchers that left the Oriole System to pitch elsewhere with better success, doesn't surprise me.
  15. Chris Paddack is having results, thanks to his changeup.
  16. good point, they are not watching any sports on TV, they play xbox, or the switch and they love fortnight.
  17. I know last week, DirectTV was fighting A&E channel over renewing and the shows were begging viewers to call their cable provider and complain. Cable companies want higher rates and cable tv stations want lower rates, as they have to pay multiple cable companies. I know 2 of my 4 kids have cut their cable, but when ask what they pay for netflix, hulu, roki and amazon a month, and how that cuts into what they think they are saving for cutting the cord, Not to mention, keeping internet, they agree not that much.
  18. soccer has been popular as a rec league sport. But, none of my kids that played rec league soccer, watched the first min of a pro game. Same for my grandkids now.
  19. check the demographics, the younger kids are not watching the game, nor are they even playing the game, like they did when even my son was playing ball.
  20. I just saw this from SI.COM, apologies, if others had already posted. https://www.si.com/mlb/2019/05/07/mlb-attendance-mike-trout-mexico-series
  21. I would still keep my cable. I get Digital TV (DVR and 5 TVs), alarm, phone, and Internet and under $300 a month. I dont see me cutting the cable. I appreciate the fact that i can get MASN from my cable provider.
  22. NAH. MLB needs to fix things, in order to gain popularity back with the kids, or risk declining attendance as we baseball fans get older. Personally, the owners and the players are making way too dang much money, and we support that. Just like the public made Avengers Endgame the highest grossing people in box office history.
