What about the Trout did. There is still money to made. I havent cut my cable. Im old enough to remember paying $100+ a month for analog phone service, 2 decades ago. So moving that money over to my cable bill, makes the bill in my mind, more easy to not cause heartburn. That $100 a month, didnt count the 2nd phone line, so I can be online and not interfere with the family phone calls.

I wonder if the cable deals, dont start scaling back down the scale some, they cant keep paying out huge fees, and still make a profit.

All sports have more paid attendance than actual showing up attendance. You can really see this at soldout NFL games, with open seats in the stadium and they all aint out at the potty or bar.

Marlins are the minor league team for the yankees. They had multiple sub-par years. Not sure, I would call them well run, but, they do win games without having to pay anybody, so I will give them that. As for first place, that could just be a SSS. They wasn't first place last year, or for several years. They havent had a first place finish since 2010.

Attendance is down, because MLB hasn't come to terms with the fact, that Baseball is no longer Sport #1 in America. Its been on the downhill slide for some time now.

Whats embarrassing for Florida. The Marlins are only averaging 9.6K a game and even worse than Tampa for sales. Too many factors, factor into Florida being a poor location to support any MLB franchise. People like to scare the Oriole fans into thinking the team is going to move. But, even Kansas City is doing worse than the Orioles are with ticket sales.

Not remotely true. Coke is still showing a net worth of 171 billion, that was "net" gross. Almost ten year investment, brings back an almost triple return. Doesn't sound much like dying brand. My f-i-l worked for coke and made a lot of money over the years from his coke stock.

I know some posters are scared that the Orioles will move, and I know there are rumors abundantly. Personally, I think I have a better chance of dating Kate Upton, than the Orioles moving.

Pepsi is always trying hard to get into markets. People want Coke. Pepsi has had to purchase food chains and restaurants, as well as made insane deals to get their product carried.

No offense to our own Frobby. But, lawyers can tear about just about every contract written, they did deep enough and hard enough they will eventually get it done. Legal contracts in this country is just no longer the binding agreement that it was meant to be. I know of a Amish house builder in Southern Maryland, doing quality work and has a long waiting list. He hasnt done the first contract, when he shakes your hand, you know the deal is done and will get done. I heard a first year law student get told by their old professor, there is no cut and dry cases, especially when going before a jury, you never know how they will act.

I agree, which is why personally I think the ideal that they sent Joey to AAAA for super 2 status is ludicrous. They wanted to look a new guy to see what they got and Joey got the short straw.

I truly do not believe anybody is thinking super 2 for Rickard, but thats just my own beliefs

I think Rickard was the person that sent himself to AAA by his lack of production, as he batted .152 with 10 strikeouts in 33 at-bats
