Can anybody explain to me why Holliday's hit tool is a 60? Clearly, his hit tool is advanced and projects to be his bread and butter wherever he goes. He can run, throw and field pretty well for a 19 year old, but he was selected 1 overall because of the hit tool. Set the high school record for base hits. Hit .314 at high A with 4 more strikeouts than walks. Off to a good start at AA. I dont know man. A 19 year old putting up numbers like that projects to be a high AVG hitter. At least 65 if not 70 hit tool seems appropriate. If there is one thing he can do its make quality contact.

Well, must be nice for other MLB teams to be your farm system. Just wait for mid to small market teams to develop elite talent and then go in and acquire them when they're free agents. Must be nice for Freddie Freeman and Mookie Betts to be down on the farm waiting for free agency.

Problem is by the time our guys get this good they will only have a few years left before they go play for the Yankees or Dodgers.

We do not match up well with the dodgers. Their hitters are simply too experienced for our guys. This like a veteran boxer taking a young and talented fighter into deep waters and drowning him.

The point is any prospect is available for a pure #1 starter with years of control. Anybody.

Yea, cuz nobody would be stupid enough to trade a guy like prime Randy Johnson or Pedro Martinez. Holliday with either Cowser/Kjerstad? Yep, making that trade any day and twice on Sunday.

If Cowser turns out to be better than Justin freaking Morneau then he's gone after 6 seasons. If he's that good then somebody is paying him 35 million a year.

Everybody is touchable for the right price. I mean if the Red Sox offered prime Pedro Martinez for Adley or Holliday you would be a fool to turn that down. Except the Red Sox would never offer that. I would in fact trade either Kjerstad or Cowser for a controllable TOR Starter. Problem is we aren't getting that with either of those guys as the centerpiece. You would likely have to trade Holliday and another top prospect, if not 2 other top prospects for a controllable TOR starter.
