Who’s harping on Adley’s throwing? Seems like a subject that comes up from time to time but not very often. Harping on something would be constantly pointing out that Connor Norby and Kyle Stowers are being deprived of a ML opportunity by being kept in Norfolk. LOL

Mystery solved why he was shaking his hand and looking in pain his last two starts. Roch Kubatko * Kremer had a bandage around his right middle finger yesterday after receiving further treatment for a blister that popped up a couple of starts ago. Though Kremer dominated the Reds Sunday with one hit allowed in six scoreless innings, he could be seen flexing and shaking the hand. Nothing that warranted a mound visit or his removal. No big deal. “It wasn’t going to take me out of the game,” he said. “That was the worst, but it’s manageable,” he said. “It developed the last start. We had to take it down all the way until it was raw skin and kind of build it back up.” Still odd that Ben and Kevin didn’t pick up on this at all during his start.

Adleys BABIP is .369. He might be making better contact but he probably leads the team in dunkers too. It’s funny. His throws to 3B are usually right on the money. At 2B I’ve never seen a catcher pull as many throws to the SS side of 2B. I thought he made one really good throw and another good throw to 2B last night. It didn’t make a difference. Those were on Burnes.

Beavers is having a good season but unless the power picks up I don’t see him being or becoming the level of Cowser and Kjerstad. He’s kind of a tweener right now. Nothing really stands out. He does everything okay.

Hopefully, a sign of breaking out. Tavera with 3 hits in including a triple. Sosa with 3 hits including his first homer.

David Bañuelos would have more success than Holliday did. Yes, I guarantee that Mayo would hit better than Holliday did. It might not be good but it would be better.

I think we should put Kjerstad out to stud now and only put him with softball players who are defensively gifted. There’s no spot for him now but in 21 years we could have 9 power hitting Paul Blair’s and Mark Belangers playing for us. It’s the new Moneyball but we’ll call it Horse Feathers.

I don’t break eggs to make an omelette if I already have a warm one on the plate. I’m not convinced of anything. Kjerstad could be a 30 homer guy. Maybe not. If I had to bet, I’d bet on the 30. That’s not the point. The point is if you trade Kjerstad it should be for a difference maker. Have you ever even seen Cade Smith pitch? Are you convinced he’s a difference making setup man?

I’m fine with trading Kjerstad but not for two relievers who might not be better than we have. Couldn’t Gaddis and Smith just as easily turn into pumpkins? Do they have some kind of track record beyond their first 15 innings pitched this year? Gaddis had a 4.50 ERA for the Guardians and Smith had a 4.00 ERA in AAA. All of a sudden those guys are studs. If we go by the first 15 innings then Suarez, Webb, Coulombe, and Akin are all studs too. So tell me which 2-3 pitchers do you want to DFA. Akin is the only one with options. You want to trade Kjerstad for two relievers you’re sure are that much better than what we already have?

We’re not going to have room for all of those guys. We’re just not. Which guys and who says? When Wells and GRod comes back that likely knocks Baumann off the team and another starter to the bullpen. Which one of these are the Cleveland guys significant upgrades over? Cano Webb Suarez Wells Coulombe Akin Perez
