  1. There goes that streak. You’re like the Kevin Brown of OH hangout. As soon as Brown says Westburg hasn’t made an error in 62 games he makes a bad throw. As soon as he says Rutschman has the best chase rate in baseball he swings at two pitches way out of the zone. As soon as Brown says this Oriole reliever hasn’t walked anyone in two weeks I say “Shut up, Kevin!”
  2. Baseball America says sits 93 and touches 98. Hopefully he can sit at least closer to 95 in time.
  3. Hyde prefers to use Cano when mostly RH hitters are due. If the heart of the order is 2 or 3 LH hitters ño Cano.
  4. Here’s an idea. If you think an interesting topic has been pushed to Page 2, click on Page 2 and take a look. Most of the really interesting topics don’t drop that fast but whatever.
  5. He’s 20 years old and it’s his first year of professional ball. Pitch limits.
  6. Yeah, not crazy about those mechanics or lack of balance. Nolan McLean looked better and Sproat looked even better previous in the series. Plus, it sounded like Baumeister was only 92/93. P.S. Sproat has bad walk numbers but looked really good when I saw him.
  7. It’s a question that can’t be answered definitively. When will Baumann pitch again? Maybe today. Maybe Tuesday. How many innings will Kremer pitch today? How many runs ahead or behind will the Orioles be ahead in the 6th inning? Does Hyde plan to use Suarez as the first reliever if Kremer gets tired or knocked out before completing 6? I maybe Kremer goes 7 and Akin and Webb are used in the 8th and 9th. It’s a question that can’t be answered. Probably today but maybe not.
  8. But he still trusts his feelings. Amazing.
  9. Do you expect someone to know for sure? He was warming up tonight. Most likely tomorrow.
  10. I think Hyde is learning how to best use Kimbrel as he goes. I think he’s going to really have to baby him to get the dominant performances and avoid the scary ones.
  11. I’m confused. Your blood pressure is spiking because you’re unintelligent? I’ve never heard of such a thing. I’m pretty sure intelligent people get high blood pressure too.
  12. Sure, and Bendix will hold onto him hoping he gets on a roll and if that happens then you won’t want to pay that price either.
  13. 2024 Scott wouldn’t help much if at all. 2023 Scott was one of the elite relievers in the game. If you believe the 2023 version is just waiting to break out after a bad start he makes sense, no matter where he slots in the bullpen.
  14. They do mean different things. “The call stands” means it was too close to overturn. “The call is confirmed” means they feel the replay clearly supports the call on the field. Joe Adell was safe at 2B. They felt it was too close to overturn and said “The call stands” because it clearly didn’t support the call.
