  1. Who cares about winning the division? Get in, get hot - that's it.
  2. Maybe but the issue with moving a current starter to the bullpen is what happens if somebody else in the rotation goes down? You can't keep bouncing Kremer or whoever might be moved to closer or set-up back and forth like that.
  3. Unfortunate but it should clarify that the required bullpen help will likely have to come in a trade.
  4. Could he close? - (I'm asking seriously). Long time starters have made the transition in the past, John Smoltz comes to mind.
  5. He's a much faster, stronger and bigger guy than J.J. Hardy. Hits the ball much harder. If he's not a Boras guy, I'd start the extension conversation with this guy. I thought he was just going to be a decent utility guy and maybe a lower end regular in time but he's much more than that.
  6. The only thing that could help Kimbrel find what he's lost is a time machine. On the bright side - the Kimbrel situation hasn't really hurt the team significantly but there's no doubt Elias will have to take another shot at filling the closer role. He has plenty of trade ammo to work with in the trade market so let's see what he can come up with.
  7. I think they're going to be looking at getting the Cowser/Hays platoon going and the RH pinch hitting/late inning defense Hays can provide. We'll see.
  8. I think Kjerstad's going to be headed down when Hays gets back which should be soon. I see he had a rehab start last night.
  9. Has anybody ever heard of this one. I wonder if the Orioles have been involved. https://www.yahoo.com/sports/mlb-warns-teams-against-encouraging-231724108.html
  10. Definitely going to need some more established pieces for Kjerstad than this.
  11. I don't think any Oriole fan who saw that one will ever forget that one. I know it was a Sunday and I thought it was Mother's Day but couldn't have been if it was the 7th. After all those years of losing, the Orioles had gotten off to a good start in 2012 but it was still suspect in early May. I think everybody really starting believing after that game.
  12. Good God our pitching!!!!!!!
  13. Sparky Anderson was the oldest looking 45 year old man in the history of the world. He could have gotten a senior citizen discount anywhere without even asking for it.
