  1. 100%.. That always tells us as much as coming into camp in the "best shape of their career." Nice to know Irvin had a nice offseason and a sense of humor.
  2. There wasn't much being said about Mullins because he was such a low draft pick. Here was his profile page when drafted..
  3. Feel free to provide any injury or news about any players in this thread to help me track! Thanks.
  4. This is where you can track all of the players in camp. Once players are cut they will be placed in the cut section. Starters Will Make Team barring injury Corbin Burnes (RHP) 2/21: Will start season as the TOR this team needed, and really needed once Bradish went out. 2/24: Struck out two and allowed a hit in 1 IP in his debut. 2/29: Allowed three ER on three hits and walk and was not able to get through his two innings of work. Did strike out 3. (10.13) 3/10: After a clean first two innings, allowed three runs in the 3rd, and two more in the 4th before being pulled allowed 5 ER on 6 hits and two walks in 3IP. Let's hope he's just still working on things because his spring has not been good so far. (12.71) 3/16: Allowed three ER in 5 IP. (9.28) Grayson Rodriguez (RHP) 2/21: Should be the 2nd starter behind Burnes and is looking to continue his second half success last year. 2/27: Allowed a home run in the first inning of his two innings of work, walking one and striking out two. He went two-seamer heavy as he's trying to add that pitch into his mix, something Bradish was able to do effectively. He threw 22 of 37 pitches for strikes. Hyde said Rodriguez touched 100 MPH on his fastball a few times. 3/8: Allowed a run in 3.1 innings of work spreading out two walks and six hits, striking out just one. Reached his pitch count in the 4th and was not exactly fooling many hitters. (3.68) 3/14: Made it through 4.1 IP, allowing 2 ER on 4 H and 2 BB. Still is not missing a ton of bats with only 2 Ks. (3.86) Dean Kremer (RHP) 2/21: Injuries to Bradish and Means solidifies his starter's role even if the Orioles acquire another starter. 2/28: Allowed a run on two hits and walk while striking out two in two IP. His fastball average about 2.2 MPH less than last year at 92.4 MPH so his velocity is not there yet. 3/4: Allowed two ER on four hits and 2 walks but 3 Ks in his 2 IP. (6.75) 3/9: Allowed 2 ER in 4 IP, on 4 hits. (5.63) Tyler Wells (RHP) 2/21: Wells is going to make the team regardless but now has a real chance to stick as a starter vs the bullpen role he was destined for before the injuries. 3/1: Made his spring debut starting and tossing two scoreless innings. 3/12: Allowed one run over on two hits, and one walk including a HT, striking out one in 4IP. (1.50) 3/17: Allowed one run on four hit, with 6 Ks in 4 IP. (1.69) Cole Irvin (LHP) 2/21: Odds on favorite to claim the 5th starter's spot afte the injuries but will still need to start the year better than he did in 2023 when he pitched himself to Norfolk. 2/25: Got the 2nd start of the season against the Pirates major leaguers and went 2 hitless innings, strike out 3. Hit 96 MPH and average 94 MPH on his fastball, 1.8 MPH more than last year so the velocity is there early on. 3/2: Spread out three hits and BB over 3 scoreless IP. (0.00) 3/13: Allowed 6 ER, on 7 hits and 4 BB with 3 Ks in just 3.2 IP. (6.23) 3/22: Named the Orioles rotation as the 5th starter. 3/23 stats Cuts Bruce Zimmermann (LHP) 2/21: Did not have a great 2023 season overall, but pitched well enough to keep his roster spot and could make the team as a long reliever potentially if he loses out on the 5th starter job. 3/1: Made his spring debut and followed Tyler Wells with two scoreless IP as well. 3/6: Allowed 4 runs, 2 ER on 4 hits and a walk but with 5 Ks in 2.2 IP. (3.86) 3/11: Pitched the 5th-8th inning behind Teheran which shows a bit where the Orioles know he's heading, and that's back to AAA. Allowed one run in 3 IP. (3.51) 3/19: Optioned to Norfolk to get ready for the season. Chayce McDermott (RHP) (NRI) 2/21: Probably destine for Norfolk's rotation but his impact stuff could help in a bullpen that is weakened by the injuries to the starters so keep an eye on what role he's used in and if he's pitching against major leaguers earlier in games or minor leaguers later. 2/27: Came into the game in the 6th inning against mainly minor leaguers. Wasn't able to get through his inning inning of work before reaching his pitchout count and had to come out. Returned in the 7th to strike out two. Overall, walked two, allowed a hit, and struck out two in 1.2 IP. 3/5: Two impressive innings, allowing two hits, only one hard hit ball, and two Ks in 2 IP. Averaged 95.4 on his fastball and registered 5 pitches on statcast. 3/10: Looked pretty good today, hovering around 95 on his FB and getting quite a few swings-and-misses, albeit mostly against minor leaguers late in the game. Also made a nice play to cover 1B in the 9th while holding a runner at 3rd. (JustD) Cade Povich (LHP) (NRI) 2/21: Destined to start the year in Norfolk's rotation once again, but it will be interesting to see how the team uses him in spring. Could be an option later in the season if he's pitching well. 2/26: Spread out two walks and hit over two scoreless innings, getting two Ks in his first start. 3/9: Impressive 3 IP, allowed one unearned run on two hits and walk while striking out 4. (1.29) Relievers Will Make Team barring injury Craig Kimbrel (RHP) 2/21: Offseason acquisition comes into the season as the closer 2/29: Allowed a run on two hits including a HR in his 1IP. (9.00) 3/4: Crushed for 4 ER on 5 hits in just one innings of work. Not exactly making everyone feel good after he got off to an awful start last season with the Phillies as well. Hopefully just working through things. (22.50) 3/8: Walked one, but gave up not runs or hits in an inning of work. (15.00) 3/14: Allowed one hit with one K in 1 IP. (11.00) 3/16: Allowed a BB, but struck out two in an IP. (9.00) Cionel Pérez (LHP) 2/21: No options and coming off a very good second half, he's in the bullpen barring injury and should pitch in high leverage situations against tough lefties. 2/26: Never known for getting off to good starts, Perez was knocked around for four earned runs on four hits, including a home run in one inning of work. 2/29: A hitless IP of work. (18.00) 3/4: Allowed a run on 2 hits with 2 Ks. (15.00) 3/8: His tough spring continues as he allowed two more ER on 3 hits, including a home run, and a walk with striking out one in 2/3 of inning of work. (17.18) 3/12: Some allowed two hits and a walk but did not give up a run in 1 IP. (13.50) Yennier Cano (RHP) 2/21: Amazing the difference in year makes. Came into camp last year as an after thought and ended up an All-Star. Will be the main setup guy to Kimbrel. 3/4: Hey, a Cano sighting. Pitched a scoreless inning giving up a hit with 1 K. (0.00) 3/8: Struck out two in a perfect inning of work. Has yet to give up a run this spring. (0.00) 3/12: Pitched a perfect inning with 2 Ks. (0.00) 3/17: Allowed a run on 3 hits in 1 IP. (2.25) Danny Coulombe (LHP) 2/21: Found a home in the Orioles bullpen and will be there once again barring a disaster. 2/26: Pitched a scoreless inning. 2/29: Allowed a run on two hits in 1 IP. (4.50) 3/13: Pitched a hitless 1.2 IP. (1.93) 3/17: Struck out two in 1 IP. (1.59) Mike Baumann (RHP) 2/21: With no options remaining and with the injuries, Baumann has to be a lock to start the year in the pen on opening day this year. 2/24: Tossed a perfect 1 IP in his debut, striking out one. 2/27: Tossed another perfect inning with one K. 3/6: Tossed another scoreless inning with one K. (0.00) 3/11: Tossed 1.2 scoreless inning and his stuff was swing and miss getting a 60% whiff rate on swings against him. Averaged 97.3 on his fastball. Baumann may be working his way into high leverage situations with the stuff he's showing this spring. He walked one and struck out two in his another scoreless outing. (0.00) 3/17: Allowed a hit with one K in 1 IP. (0.00) Jacob Webb (RHP) 2/21: Some may not see him as a lock, but with no options and great numbers last year with the Orioles, he's starting the year in the pen barring a total implosion of stuff. 2/26: Pitched a scoreless 3rd inning. 2/29: Allowed two runs on 3 hits and a BB against minor leaguers late in the game. (9.00) 3/4: Allowed a hit with one K in one IP but keeps getting in late against minor leaguers. (6.00) 3/8: Gave up just one hits and struck out two in a scoreless frame. (4.50) 3/12: Allowed 2ER in 1 IP. (7.20) 3/16: Allowed two walks, but gave up no runs in 1IP. (5.68) Dillon Tate (RHP) 2/21: Most people see him as a lock, but he hasn't pitched well since 2022, is coming off an injury, and has two options so he's going to have to pitch well to make the team. 2/27: Made his spring debut with a three up and three down 3rd inning including one K. 3/2: Another hitless inning with 1 K. (0.00). 3/6: Scoreless inning with a K. (0.00) 3/10: Allowed a hit in 1 IP. (0.00) 3/17: Tossed another shut out inning. (0.00) Bubble Keegan Akin (LHP) 2/21: Got a big boost with the slow recovery of Means which probably moves Irvin to the rotation and opens up a spot for Akin if he throws well. 2/25: Got three outs on four pitches in his 1IP. Sat 93 MPH. 2/29: Walked one, struck out two in 1 IP. (0.00) 3/4: Struck out two in 2 scoreless innings pitched in the 7th and 8th inning against minor leaguers. (0.00) 3/9: Still unscored upon this spring. Allowed a hit and struck out one in one IP. (0.00) 3/13: Struck out the side in 1 IP. (0.00) 3/17: Struck out two in a perfect IP. (0.00) Bryan Baker (RHP) 2/21: Definitely on the bubble but with an option, he could head to Norfolk if there is no space 2/25: Got some loud outs, but took only 8 pitches to get through his inning of work. Sat 95 MPH on fastball. 2/28: Wasn't able to get through one inning of work after reaching his 25-pitch count. Did strike out two and allowed on hit. 3/8: Walked two, but struck 3 in 1.1 IP at the end of the game against minor leaguers. Hasn't given up a run all spring. (0.00) 3/13: Allowed an unearned run in an IP. (0.00) 3/17: Another shutout IP. (0.00) Julio Teheran (RHP) 2/27: Signed to a minor league contract that could be worth up to $2 million, the former Braves ace will get an opportunity to be long man depth or maybe even starter's depth depending on how the Orioles try to use him. Added a cutter last year with the Brewers after being out of the majors since 2021 and it was fairly successful, so look for him to rely on that over his sinker that has not been good since 2019. 3/2: Made his spring debut in the 4th inning, striking out one in one hitless IP. 3/6: Started going two innings allowing just a walk. (0.00) 3/11: Struggled in the first inning getting lit up for 4 ER by the Yankees starting lineup. Settles down afterwards and made it through 2.1 innings and 52 pitches. Seems the Orioles are stretching him out to be a starter vs looking at him as a reliever. (6.75) 3/17: Allowed one run on five hits and 1 BB, while striking out 5 in 4 IP. (4.82) 3/23: Allowed just one hit and two walk with 3K over 4 shutout innings in his last spring appearance. Probably will be sent to AAA as starter depth. Long Shots Jonathan Heasley (RHP) 2/21: With option remaining he's heading to Norfolk or perhaps will get a look in a bullpen role, but mostly Norfolk's rotation for depth. 2/23: Couldn't get through his 1 inning of work in his debut, getting behind most hitters. Allowed 2 ER on 3 hits in 2/3 of an inning. 2/28: Better in his second out, allowing no hits, but did walk one in 1.1 scoreless. (9.00) 3/6: Tossed a scoreless 9th inning against minor leaguers. (4.50) 3/10: Allowed a run in 2 IP. (4.50) 3/14: Tossed a shutout inning. (3.86) 3/23 stats: Cuts Albert Suárez (RHP) 2/28: Pitched two hitless/scoreless innings with 2 Ks in the 5th and 6th inning. Touched 97.3 MPH and averaged 95.5 MPH on his fastball 2 MPH faster than last year. Threw his slider 5 MPH faster than last year as well. Worth keeping an eye on if the increase is velocity is for real. 3/5: Did the Orioles just find a real pitcher? I'm moving him up from here to get a look to longshot because he's not on the 40-man and the Orioles can keep him in AAA as potential starting pitching or reliever depth. I'll let Alex Fast tell you why: 3/10: Got hit hard in his first inning of work allowing three runs, including a two-run home run by Kirk that would not have been a HR in any major league ball park. Then tossed three shutout innings. Struck out 4 over his 4 IP. 3/15: Got lit up for 5 ER on 6 H and a walk over 2.1 IP. (6.35) 3/21: Had a good camp overall, but will be starter's depth in AAA. Nick Vespi (LHP) 2/21: Probably more of a long shot since he has options and Akin is probably ahead of him on the left-handed pecking order, but he'll battle in camp for a roster spot. 2/27: Allowed a run on two hits in the 5th inning, striking out one. 3/2: Struck out one in one hitless IP in the 6th. 3/6: Tossed a scoreless 8th inning. (2.25) 3/9: Allowed a run on 1IP. (3.60) 3/14: Struck out 5 and allowed only one hit over two IP. (2.57) 3/20: Bad outing yesterday sealed his fate. Optioned to AAA. (5.40) Matt Krook (LHP) 2/21: Similar to Vespi, but his swing and miss numbers on his junk are impressive in AAA. 2/26: Made a nice debut, striking out the side while allowing a hit in one inning of work in the 5th inning. 3/1: Allowed his first run of the spring on a walk and a hit in one inning of work. (4.50) 3/5: Throwing a bit harder than last year, averaging 90 MPH on his sinker and it appears he's added some movement on his changeup. Seems similir to TJ MacFarland. Didn't allow a hit in his 1 IP. (3.00) 3/16: Struck out the side, walking one in 1 IP. Pitched well but was reassigned to minor league camp. (2.25) Kaleb Ort (RHP) 2/21: Newly acquired with major league experience, Ort has an option but the Orioles like the raw stuff so could surprise. 2/26: Pitched a hitless/scoreless 4th inning of work, striking out one. 3/1: Allowed a walk and hit, but gave up no runs in his 1 IP. 3/6: Hit 98.5 MPH, but gave up two loud hits and allowed a run in his only inning of work. Did strike out two. (3.00) 3/9: Allowed two ER on a hit and walk before being taken out after .2 IP. (7.36) 3/14: Reassigned to minor league camp. (6.23) Seth Johnson (RHP) 2/21: Nice arm who has not pitched a lot and is getting up in years for a prospect. The Orioles may give him a look in a relief role and move him quick, but other wise he's heading to Bowie to start. 3/9: Optioned to minor league camp and should start the year at Bowie. Pitched two innings of shutout ball this spring so made a nice impression. Justin Armbruester (RHP) 2/26: Made a nice debut tossing three scoreless frames allowing just one hit while striking out 4 against mostly minor leaguers. 3/9: Sent to minor league camp. Will start at AAA as starter's depth but also could be brought up to cover bulk innings if needed. Ronald Guzmán (LHP) 3/9: Sent to the minor league camp. Reported late due to Visa issues and never got into a game. He's a 1B convert so will get an opportunity somewhere. Nathan Webb (RHP) 3/9: Sent to the minor league camp. Was unable to pitch in a game as he recovers from TJ surgery. Garrett Stallings (RHP) 2/24: Scattered two hits and walk over three scoreless innings of work on opening day. Interesting that they used him for three innings. Didn't strikeout anyone though. 3/9: Sent to minor league camp. Pitched well in his one outing so if he can pitch more consistent in AAA he could get a call. Wandisson Charles (RHP) 2/25: Hard thrower who touched 99 MPH on his fastball, also showed off a cutter that kinda resembles a bad slider. Got good WHIF (75%) on the four sliders batter swung at. Allowed and hit and walk with one K against minor leaguers. 2/28: Walked one and struck out one in 1 scoreless IP. 3/2: Another Charles inning. One hit, one walk, one K in a scoreless IP. (0.00) 3/9: Pitched the 9th, walking one, striking out one in a scoreless IP. (0.00) Tucker Davidson (LHP) 2/25: Gave up a hit and walk and needed 21 pitches to get through the inning, but did so without allowing a run. Showed a fastball, slider, split-change mix. Sat 90-92, t93 in the outing. 2/29: Pitched the last two innings against minor leagues allowing a run on two hits. Struck out 2. (3.00) 3/5: Was working on his slider mostly in his scoreless inning of work. Luis González (LHP) 2/25: Pretty high spin rate guy who got a lot of whif (46%) on his fastball (93 avg) and slider, but needed 21 pitches to get through his inning vs mostly minor leaguers. 2/28: Allowed a run on two hits, striking out 1 in 1 IP. 3/2: Allowed two hits in 1 scoreless IP in the 7th. (3.00) 3/10: Pitched the 9th allowing a hit with a K. (2.25) Andrew Suárez (LHP) 2/26: Pitched two hitless/scoreless innings, mostly against minor leaguers. 3/1: Worked around two BBs a hit in two innings of scoreless relief against mostly minor leaguers. (0.00) 3/5: The "other Suarez" pitched a hitless inning. Sat 92 MPH and had no whiffs in his 11 pitches in the 5th inning of work. (0.00) 3/10: Pitched the 8th allowing a hit. (0.00) 3/13: Allowed an earned run in an IP. (1.80) 3/17: Allowed three ER on 3 hits, including two HRs. (4.00) Catchers Will Make Team barring injury Adley Rutschman 2/21: All-star returns and hopes to improve upon his offensive numbers a bit from last year 2/24: Went 1-for-2 with a home run in his first PA. Threw out 1-of-2 runners attempting to steal, but one throw was very high and went in CF. 2/26: Went 0-for-2 with a walk. 2/29: Went 0-for-3 and is off to a slow spring. (.143) 3/4: Another 0-for-3 as his cold spring continues. (.083/.487) 3/6: Went 1-for-2 with a BB. (.143/.607) 3/10: went 2-for-2 with a HR in a DH start. (.211/.812) 3/12: Went 3-for-4 with 2 RBI. (.304/.925) 3/15: Went 0-for-4 at C. (.259/.791) James McCann 2/21: The backup 2/25: First appearance of the year resulted in an 0-for-3 with 2 Ks. 2/27: Went 1-for-3 with a 2B and two RBI. 3/1: Went 1-for-3 in a start (.167/.417 OPS) 3/8: Went 1-for-3 with a K and passed ball. (.222/.555) 3/10: Went 1-for-3 with a HR at C. (.238/.714) 3/12: Went 1-for-3. (.250/.708) 3/17: Went 1-for-3. (.233/.633) 3/23 stats Non Roster Invitees to catch pens Maverick Handley 2/25: Went one for two with an RBI, but got thrown out trying to stretch a single into a double on a great throw by the left fielder. 2/28: Went 1-for-2 with a K. 3/1: Came in at DH, went 0-for-2 with 2 Ks. (.286/.661 OPS) 3/16: 0-for-1. (.167/.542) Michael Pérez 2/26: Went 0-for-2 in a start. 2/28: Went 2-for-3 with 2 RBI. 3/5: Went 0-for-3. (.182/.432 OPS) 3/9: Got a start in a split squad day, going 1-for-3 with a home run. (.200/.650) 3/11: Went 1-for-2 with a walk and has put himself ahead of the other AAA catchers with the amount of starts he's getting. (.235/.690) 3/17: Went 1-for-1 with a 2B. (.263/.807) Cuts Samuel Basallo 2/21: Super Prospect has micro fracture in throwing arm and will DH. 2/29: Lots of videos going around of him taking an impressive BP, so expect him to get into games soon. 3/2: Manager Brandon Hyde said he should see Grapefruit action by Mid-March but won't catch until late April due to the stress fracture. 3/11: Made his spring debut at DH, going 0-for-2. 3/13: Picked up his first hit going 1-for-1. (.250/.500) 3/16: Reassigned to minor league camp. Silas Ardoin 2/26: Went 1-for-2 with a double. 3/1: Went 1-for-1 with a double. 3/5: walked in his only PA. Can't keep him off the bases this spring. (.750/2.625) 3/9: Was sent to minor league camp despite hitting well this spring. First position player to be cut. David Bañuelos 2/26: Went 0-for-2 coming in for Perez. 2/29: 0-for1 with a BB. 3/10: Went 0-for-1. (.167/.500) 3/11: Went 0-for-2. (.125/.398) 3/21: Reassigned to minor league camp. Should start season in AAA or AA. 1st Baseman Will Make Team barring injury Ryan Mountcastle 2/21: Most likely the everyday 1B but needs to hit righties better or could lose playing time to O'Hearn/Santander 2/25: Went 0-for-3 with a K. 2/27: Never known as a quick starter in spring training, he put up another 0-for-3. 3/1: Started at DH, went 1-for-2 with an RBI and K. (.125/.250 OPS) 3/4: Started at 1B going 0-for-3 with a K. (.214/.500) 3/10: Probably doesn't have to worry, but he's having a bad spring and Coby Mayo got a start at 1B. Went 1-for-3 with a start at 1B.(.261/.565) 3/12: Went 1-for-4 with a 2B. (.259/.592) Bubble Ryan O'Hearn 2/21: Yes, he's probably making the team, but if the Orioles are going to find PAs for Kjerstad, they are going to come at his expense so he could get moved. 2/24: Went 1-for-2 with the start at 1B. Made a nice dig on a low throw by Urias. 2/26: Went 0-for-2 in a start at 1B 2/28: Went 0-for-2 with a BB and two K. 3/1: Started at 1B and went 2-for-3 with a 2B. (.333/.899 OPS) 3/4: Started in RF going 0-for-3 with a K. (.286/.732) 3/8: Went 1-for-3 with a start at 1B. (.250/.618) 3/10: Fighting for a spot on the team, his bad spring continues going 0-for-3 in RF. (.217/.541) 3/13: Went 1-for-3 with a start at 1B. (.286/.696) 3/17: Went 1-for-2 with a BB and K playing LF and then RF. (.281/.708) 3/23 Stats Cuts 2nd Baseman Jordan Westburg 2/21 - Comes into the season as the starter at 2B or 3B, if Jackson Holliday wins the job. 2/25 - Debuted at 3B which gives more credence to the idea that the Orioles really want Holliday to start the year at 2B. Went 1-for-3 with two Ks. 2/26 - Started at 3B again, going 2-for-3 with a Home run and a triple. 2/28: Started at SS and went 1-for-3. 3/1: Started at 3B went 0-for-3 with 2 Ks. (.333/1.083) 3/5: Went 1-for-4 with a double and 2 Ks. (.263/.842) 3/9: Went 0-for-2 with two Ks and a BB starting at 2B. (.238/.797) 3/10: Went 1-for-4 in a start at 3B. (.240/.749) 3/12: Started at 2B, going 2-for-3 with a 2B and HR. (.286/.953) 3/15: Went 2-for-4 with start at 3B. (.286/.906) 3/17: Went 0-for-4 with a start at 3B. (.256/.813) 3/21: With Holliday getting cut, have to imagine either he or Urias will start at 2B. Most likely him. Cuts Jackson Holliday (2B/SS) (NRI) 2/21: Is going to get a long look at 2B to see if he's ready. Keep an eye on how often he plays 2B vs 3B and where Westburg plays a lot in spring training. 2/24: Roch from MASN reports that Holliday has been seen working on the back fields almost exclusively at 2B and that all the guest infield instructors have raved about him. 2/24: Went 0-for-2 with a K and flyball out to CF on opening day with the start at 2B. 2/26: Went 0-for-2 with a BB and two K's. Has yet to record a hit this spring in two games. Started at 2B. 2/27: Started at 2B and batted leadoff, and it's clear the Orioles want him to win the 2B job. Picked up his first hit of the spring, but two more Ks in a 1-for-3 effort. (.143/.393) 2/29: Went 2-for-4 with a triple and RBI. (.273) 3/1: Started at SS, going 1-for-3 with a 2B. (286/.833) 3/4: Went 3-for-4 with 3 loud hits including a rocket 2B, a 3B that was hit hard but misplayed by the CF, and lined a single. He started at SS then moved over to 2B. And stole a base with an awkward slide. (.333/.983). 3/8: Went 0-for-3 with a K, starting at 2B. (.292/.862) 3/10: Went 1-for with a grand slam in the first inning in a start at 2B. (.286/.917) 3/11: The young super prospect just keeps hitting going 2-for-3 with a start at SS. (.323/.957) 3/13: Went 0-for-3 with a K. (.294/.873) 3/17: Went 1-for-3 with a 2B at SS. (.300/.883) 3/21: A bit of s surprise cut after a great spring, but getting 2030 is worth a few weeks in AAA. Connor Norby (NRI) 2/21: Most players coming off his AAA season would have a major league job, but Norby will need an injury to make it. Could also get looks in outfield. 2/26: Soreness in his left side has kept him out of games so far. The Orioles are erring on the side of caution for now. 3/5: Went 0-for-2 in a start at 2B. (.333/1.167) 3/8: Came in late and played 2B, so it appears the Orioles are keeping him at 2B despite no clear path to the majors at that position. Went 0-for-1 with a K coming in late in the game. (.250/.900) 3/10: Went 1-for-3 with a BB with a start at DH. (.333/.899). 3/11: Came in and played 2B behind Kolton Wong who got the start but just keeps hitting, going 2-for-2. His bat looks major league ready. Personally I wish he was getting work in the outfield too, but it appears he's heading back to AAA to be depth at 2B. (.455/1.083) 3/13: Came in and played 2B, going 1-for-1. (.500/1.238) 3/17: Went 0-for-4 in a start at 2B. (.300/.791) 3/21: Hit well but no place for him in Baltimore especially at 2B. Shortstop Will Make Team barring injury Gunnar Henderson 2/21: Comes in as the everyday SS this year though could see some 3B on occasion again 2/25: Swinging a bat lightly as he tries to recover from a pulled oblique 2/27: Was seen taking BP today and Hyde said he could get into games by the end of the week. 3/4: Made his debut starting at SS and going 1-for-2 with a K. 3/6: Went 3-for-3 with a double, but made an error an SS. Off to a great start with the bat. (.800/1.800) 3/8: Went 1-for-3 with a 2B starting at SS. (.625/1.500) 3/10: Continues his incredible spring going 2-for-3 with a BB and K. (.636/1.485) 3/12: Went 2-for-4 with a 2B. (.600/1.425) 3/16: Went 1-for-3 in a start at SS. (.476/1.119) Third baseman Will Make Team barring injury Ramon Urias 2/21: Seems weird to be going for it and still having Urias be a starter at 3B, so if Jackson Holliday looks ready at 2B, Westburg moves over to take 3B. Urias would then most likely still make team as a utility player. 2/24: Got the start at 3B on opening day 0-for-1 with a SF. Made a couple nice defensive plays at 3B. 2/26: Went 1-for-3 while starting at 2B. 2/28: Smacked a 374 ft HR in a 2-for-3 effort starting at 3B. 3/1: Started at 2B, going 0-for-2 with a BB. (.333/1.031 OPS) 3/6: Started at 3B going 1-for-3. (286/.853) 3/9: Went 1-for-3 with an RBI starting at 3B. (.294/.821) 3/10: Went 1-for-3 with an RBI start at 3B. (.300/.948) 3/12: Started at 3B, going 1-for-3 with a HR. (.304/1.066) 3/16: Went 1-for-2 with two walks in a start at 3B. (.296/1.024) 3/21: Reassignment of Mayo and Holliday means he's going to be starting at 3B or 2B. Bubble Cuts Coby Mayo (NRI) 2/21 - Mayo looked ready at the end of the year but the Orioles have been quiet about him having a legitimate shot at making the team. 2/25 - After playing 3B in yesterday's game filled in at DH, going 0-for-1 with a walk. Both at bats were deep counts and he just missed a home run down the right field line so he's having very good at bats. 2/26 - Started at 3B, going 2-for-2 with a walk. Batting .750 with a 1.857 OPS thru 3 games. He has reached base in 7 of 9 plate appearances so far. 2/28 - Smacked a 109.9 MPH double in a 1-for-3 effort. (.556) 2/29 - Went 0-for-3 with a K starting at 3B. (.417) 3/2 - Went 0-for-3 with a K starting at 3B. (.333/1.007) 3/5- Started at DH going 1-for-4 with a K, but with two hard hits over 102 MPH. (.300/.890) 3/6 - Did Coby Mayo things, came in late in the game at 3B, and smacked a two-run double in his only at bat. It's really going to be tough to send him down but it doesn't appear right now without moves there's a place for him. (.333/.986) 3/9: Hit an opposite field two-run double against a low outside slider and then a towering home run that was hit so far the left fielder took two steps and just watched. Overall went 2-for-4 with the RBIs. Getting harder and harder to send him down. Looks not only ready but ready to be an impact bat. (.346/1.106) 3/10: Went 1-for-4 with a K, getting a start at 1B. 3/11: Came in late going 0-for-1 with a walk but his only out was a 100 MPH GIDP. (323/1.013) 3/13: Came in late and is not getting many starts anymore despite hitting. Walked in his only PA. (.313/.999) 3/15: Not starting anymore can not be a good sign for him making the team. Went 0-for-1 coming in late at 3B and 1B. (.303/.970) 3/16: Went 4-for-4 with a 2B in a start at DH. (.378/1.099) 3/17: Went 1-for4 with a 2B and two K's in a start at 1B. Note, he has been playing a lot of 1B of late. (.366/1.068) 3/21: Reassigned to AAA despite a great camp. Utility Will Make Team barring injury Jorge Mateo 2/21: As the only legitimate defensive SS option if Holliday doesn't make the team, Mateo will make the team. Plus they are talking about him backing up Mullins in CF more this year so more of a super utility who can't hit much. 2/24: Got the start at SS with Gunnar out, went 1-for-2. 2/25: Started again at SS going 1-for-3 with a double and a strikeout. 2/27: Started again at SS and yet to see he outfield. Went 0-for-2. (.286/.804) 2/29: Big day at the plate going 2-for-3 with two home runs. Started at SS once again and you have to wonder if they are showcasing him to other teams vs getting him ready for the season by getting him outfield reps. (.400) 3/2: Went 0-for-2 starting at SS. Still no outfield play. (.333/1.302) 3/6: With Gunnar back, started at 2B going 1-for-2 3/9: Still getting starts at SS, going 1-for-3. Makes us think maybe he's being shopped as a trade piece vs the 4th/5th outfielder/utility. (.300/1.014) 3/10: It appears the Orioles are not planning on using him in the OF as he got another start at SS going 0-for-2 with a walk and a K. (.273/.951) 3/12: Went 1-for-3 in a start finally in CF. (.280/.917) 3/14: Went 1-fo-2 with a BB in a 2B start. (.296/.943) 3/16: Went 1-for-3 in a start 2B. (.300/.915) 3/17: Started in Rf and moved to LF, going 0-for-2 with a K. (.281/.861) 3/21: Orioles announced he's made the team. Getting a lot of time at 2B this spring. Bubble Nick Maton 2/21 - As a left-handed hitting infielder who can play 2B and 3B, although not very well, Maton could make it as a handicap for Urias and Westburg against tough righties on occasion. 2/25 - Made his debut at 2B, going 0-for-2. 2/26 - Got a start at SS, but went 0-for-2 with 2 Ks. 2/28 - Started at 2B and went 0-for-3 and has yet to get a hit this spring yet. 3/1: Came in to play 2B, walked and is yet to record a hit this spring. (.000/.125) 3/4: Walked in both appearances in a start at 3B. Still hitless this spring though. (.000/.273) 3/6: Came in and played SS and 2B late in the game going 0-for-2 with a K. (.000/.231) 3/8: Came in late going 0-for-1 playing SS. (.000/.214) 3/10: Is just getting junk time at the end of games with Wong in the fold. Went 0-for-1 and still has no hits. Just a matter of time before he's DFA'd. (.000/.200). 3/11: Go the start at 3B, still going hitless with two Ks, but did draw a walk. (.000/.222) 3/16: Filled in at 3B at the end of the game, going 0-for-1. (.000/.190) Tyler Nevin 2/21 - In a weird world where some injuries occur, the Orioles might want a right-handed bat on the bench and Nevin could be the guy. 2/25 - Had two seeing eye singles but went 2-for-2 none the less. 2/26 - Went 1-for-2 with a two-run home run while playing 1B. 2/27- Made the start in RF and it's clear the Orioles are giving him a lot of looks with a lack of projected right-handed bats on the bench so he's getting move to the "bubble" for utility. Went 0-for-3. (.444/1.222) 2/29: Started at 1B and keeps hitting, going 3-for-3 with a 2B. (.583) 3/1: Started in LF going 0-for-3. (.467/1.200) 3/5: Went 0-for-3 with 2 Ks in a start at 1B. (.381/.980) 3/9: Went 1-for-3 with a start at 1B (.385/.945) 3/11: Went 2-for-3 with a start at 1B. Hitting well this spring and could end up getting claimed on waivers so may be tough to get to AAA for depth. (.375/.894) 3/16: Went 0-for-3 with a walk, starting in LF. (.325/.797) Kolton Wong (NRI) 2/27: Signed to a minor league contract. Looks to be AAA depth. 3/2: Made his debut starting at 2B and going 0-for-2. 3/4: Went 0-for-2 in a start at 2B. (.000/.000) 3/6: Started at DH to get PAs but went 0-for-2 with a walk. (.000/.143) 3/8: Made a start at 3B to make himself more versatile. Went 1-for-3. (.111/.311) 3/10: Made a start at 2B going 1-for-3. (.167/.398) 3/11: Got the start at 2B going 0-for-2 with a walk (.143/.393) 3/13: Started at 3B, going 2-for-3 with a 2B. (.176/.498) 3/15: Went 1-for-3 with a triple in a start at 2B. (.200/.623) 3/17: Went 1-for-3 in a start at 2B. (.217/.628) Cuts Diego Castillo 2/26 - Got the start at SS in a split squad game, going 2-for-3 with a double. 2/29: Played 2B going 1-for-2. (.333) 3/2: Went 1-for-2 coming in and playing 2B. (.333/.750) 3/5: Played some SS and 2b, going 1-for-2. (.375/.813) 3/9: Came in and played 3B, walking in both PAs to continue to get on base. Made an error though that cost a run. (.375/.882) 3/23 stats Outfielders Will Make Team barring injury Austin Hays 2/21 - Starting left fielder coming off an All-Star season. 2/24 - Went 1-for-2 with a double on opening day start in LF. 2/28 - Went 1-for-3 with a double and RBI. 3/2 - Went 2-for-3 with a home run starting in LF. (.400/1.264) 3/6 - Went 0-for-3 in a start in CF. (.250/.798) 3/8: Went 0-for-1 with a two walks in a CF start. (.235/.829) 3/10: Went 0-for-3 with a K in LF. (.200/.711) 3/12: Went 0-fo-2. (.174/.613) 3/14: Went 0-for-2 (.160/.593) 3/23: Back in LF after a sickness. Cedric Mullins 2/21: Starting CF but could see less time against lefties. 2/26: Went 0-for-2 with a BB and K. Still hitless this spring. 2/28: Went 2-for-3 starting at DH. (.286) 3/2: Went 0-for-2 with a walk. (.222/.639) 3/4: After walking, strained his hamstring and was removed from the game in the 1st inning. Is considered "day to day" by manager Hyde. 3/8: Hyde said his hamstring is getting better and he should play in game next week. 3/14: Went 0-for-3 in his return starting in CF. (.167) 3/16: Went 1-for-3 with a BB. (.200/.600) Anthony Santander 2/21 - Starting right fielder but could see time at 1B and DH 2/28 - Went 1-for-3 with a start in RF. 3/4 - Ice cold start to the spring continues in an 0-for-3 in a start in DH. (.118/.236) 3/8: 0-for-3 with 2 Ks in a RF start. (.130/.391) 3/10: Finally got it going with a 2-for-4 game with two bombs. (.185/.704) 3/11: Back to back starts, this time at DH, went 0-for-3 with a K. (.167/.634) 3/14: Went 0-for-2 with a walk at DH. (.147/.606) 3/16: 0-for-4 with 2 Ks in a 1B start. Having a terrible spring. (.132/.543) 3/23 stats Most Likely will make team Bubble Colton Cowser 2/21: Hard to see how he forces his way onto the roster since they would prefer he play everyday vs part-time. But can play all three outfield spots but Hilliard seems ahead of him. 2/24: Hit a walk off homer to win the game in the 9th inning! 2/25: Started in CF going 0-for-1, but walked twice while leading off. He's off to a nice start this spring. 2/28: Smacked a 105.4, 428 ft home run in a 2-for-3 effort to stay red hot. (.500) 3/5: Went 2-for-4 with an RBI and K in a start in CF. He's going to make it real hard to cut him and with Mullins out with another injury, his slight chance of Wally Pipping Mullins is increasing (.400/1.550). 3/9: Went 2-for-3, starting in LF. Really looks great this spring. (.444/1.509) 3/10: Is doing everything he can to make the team, going 1-for-2 with a walk in a start in CF. (.450/1.627) 3/12: Started in Rf going 2-for-3. (.478/1.586) 3/13: Went 0-for-3 with a BB at DH. (.423/1.430) 3/15: Went 0-for-3 with a B in a start in LF. (.379/1.307) 3/17: Went 1-for-4 in a start in CF. (.364/1.246) 3/21: Demotion of Kjerstad gives him a better opportunity to make the team, but it's still not over. Daniel Johnson (NRI) 2/21: Heading to AAA for depth, but will get a look. 2/25: Poor Johnson, the left-handed swinging keeps getting lefties to hit against and he's here to try and show he can hit righties well enough to platoon. Went 0-for-2 with a K. 2/26: Went 1-for-2 with a home run. 2/27: Started in LF and put up a nice 3-for-3 day with a double and triple to raise his spring training average to .444 with a 1.555 OPS. 2/28: Getting a lot of PAs and with Hilliard being claimed, his chances to make the club improved. Went 1-for-2 with another double. (.455) 3/2: Went 0-for-2 coming in to play CF. (.353/1.118) 3/8: Went 0-for-1 coming in late in the game playing Rf and CF. (.300/.983) 3/11: Making the most of his time getting the start in CF, going 1-for-2 with a walk. (280/.917) 3/17: Went 0-for-2 coming in and playing CF. (.276/.965) Ryan McKenna 2/21: The acquisition of Hilliard and Mateo playing CF kind of spells doom for McKenna making the team out of spring training without an injury. 2/24: Started in RF. 2/27: Started in CF, went 0-for-2 with a BB and K and SB. Still hitless this spring so far. 2/29: Another hitless game while starting in CF. Still hitless this spring. 3/9: His terrible spring continues with an 0-for-3 with 2 K in a start in CF. (.056/.206) 3/10: Went 2-for-3 with a double and BB in a start in CF to break his spring slump. (.143/.583) 3/12: Came in for Mateo in Cf, going 0-for-1. (.136/.558) 3/17: Went 0-for-2 with a BB in RF. (.138/.511) Cuts Heston Kjerstad 2/21: Can't see the Orioles sending him back to AAA even though there is no currently an everyday role for him barring a move of O'Hearn. Should see time in RF and DH, and maybe 1B if he improved defensively there. 2/25: Started in left field giving credence that they want him to get more experience out there to fill in for both Hays and Santander when they need a break. Went 1-for-3 with ground ball single to RF that the second baseman should have made. 2/27: Started at DH going 0-for-3 with a K. (.091/.182) 2/29: Went 1-for-3 with a start in RF. (.143) 3/2: Started to get it going with a 1-for-2 effort starting in RF. (.188/.423) 3/5: Went 1-for-4 with an RBI and a K in a start in RF. (.190/.417) 3/8: Started in LF going 2-for-3, with a double. (.240/.549) 3/10: Started in LF once again which is significant since he will need to be able to play there if he's going to be a 4th outfielder/DH on this team. Went 2-for-3 with a walk. (.286/.654) 3/11: Started in RF but really continues to struggle this spring going 0-for-3 with 2 Ks. Unless he picks it up, he may be playing his way to AAA with the way Cowser is hitting. (.258/.593) 3/15: Went 0-for-4 with 2K in a start in RF. His spring has been a disaster for a guy trying to make the team. (.237/.538) 3/17: Started in LF going 0-for-4 and continues to struggle. (.214/.488) 3/21: Optioned to AAA. Hit his way off the team but should still see major league time this year. Kyle Stowers 2/21: Ready, but where does he play? Kjerstad and Cowser ahead of him and Hilliard's defensive abilities give him a leg up as well. 2/25: Started in RF, went 0-for-2 with a K. Pitchers were busting him up and in and he wasn't able to get to those pitches. 2/26: Started in RF against ATL, going 1-for-3 with a home run and K. 2/28: Went 0-for-3 with two K while playing RF. (.100) 2/29: Finally broke out with a 2-for-2 with a HR and a BB with a start in LF. (.250) 3/2: Hit another homer when he came on late to play LF. (.308/1.357) 3/5: Went 0-for-3 with 2 Ks, but one hard hit ball in a start in LF. His consistent playing time in LF is is showing that they may be really considering him for that 4th/5th outfielder spot. (.278/1.094) 3/9: Continues his hot streak going 2-for-3 starting on RF. (.318/1.075) 3/11: Started in LF and is getting a lot of looks out there, but went 0-for-3 with a K, but one out was a hard hit. (.269/.911) 3/14: Smacked a three-run homer starting in RF and moving to CF for a but. (.258). 3/16: 0-for-3 with a K starting in RF. (.235/.845) 3/17: Went 3-for-3 with 3 HRs. Really dos not ant to go back to AAA. (.297/1.181) 3/21: Led the team in home runs but not enough to make the team as Orioles decide to go with veterans. Sam Hilliard 2/21 - Acquired as a 4th/5th outfielder, he's a good defensive outfielder and bats left-handed and could spell all three outfield spots. 2/25: Started at DH and walked twice. 2/26: Started at DH again which makes you wonder whether he's 100%, going 0-for-3 with two Ks. 2/27: DFA'd and claimed by the Rockies. Injured List Felix Bautista (RHP) - Closer will miss the 2024 season after TJ surgery last October. Kyle Bradish (RHP) - UCL sprain in January offseason work. Got PRP injections that will take 4-6 weeks for recovery then ramp up. Could be out until May/June or need TJ Surgery. Will start year on IL. 2/27: Was throwing at 90 feet today John Means (LHP) - Slow recovery after being shut down last Fall, Will start year on IL. They say he's a "month behind".
  5. I don't think the Orioles do very much with the players they drafted in that first taste of pro ball, especially with the draft being so late now and players not really getting a lot of professional PAs that first season. I'm sure they evaluated him and have him working on things this offseason, so we'll get a better gauge of him as a player in that first full season. Some guys have games that allow them to be very successful at low levels but that won't translate to high levels of the minors or the major leagues. Bradfield is a bit of a wildcard with a nice upside if he can drive the ball a little more. His elite eye at the plate is going allow him to have a very high OBP if he can show even the slightest bit of ability to do damage or the ability to fight off pitches until he gets that walk or gets a pitch he can put in play well. The range is already major league elite, but his arm is well below average from what I saw in a few throws so that will limit the "elite defense" angle, but he'll cover a heck of a lot with that speed. I'm looking forward to watching his progress this season because he's one of the bigger wildcards for me and I think that first full season will tell us a lot.
  6. Perhaps, but I think we need a full season of stats from Bradfield to get a better feel for his power numbers than his adjustment to pro ball. But I do agree that he will need to show some ability to drive the ball more often and not hit so many balls on the ground despite his elite speed.
  7. True, but he also did it in a pitcher's friendly ballpark and league.
  8. He started to throw the cutter a little bit last year for a few pitches and had success. Have to wonder of the Orioles see that as the way ahead for him. Worth a shot especially for cash considerations. He's one of those conundrum pitchers where his results don't match his stuff and it's totally obvious why.
  9. Orioles throwing this guy around like a lonely guy at a strip club. Another depth arm for nothing. Worse case he eats innings in Norfolk. Best case, they figure out how to make him effective and he turns into the right-handed Danny Coulombe.
  10. Some can't help themselves.
  11. I haven't scouted both closely, but clearly Hilliard has way more major league experience and we have more data on him at the upper levels. Honestly, I'd say they are in competition for either a 5th outfielder spot along with McKenna, or at least helping to make a name for themselves in spring training so it could possibly help them a a depth move later in the season.
  12. Not sure you can get too pumped over a guy from his scout day when that was seven years ago. There's some hyperbole in those comments from Bradish that included saying he was the best player he ever played with. I imagine Gunnar and Adley may have something to say about that! lol But it's his friend, and this was a fluff piece so I wouldn't take too much out of the quotes. Saying that, he has some platoon capability against righties and is a nice depth outfield piece at AAA.
  13. I would not be surprised to see Bradfield aggressively promoted if he's keeping his OBP high. I'll admit with his plate discipline, if he doesn't end the year in AAA I'd imagine he hit a roadblock. Fabian was on that track until AA pitching stopped him in his tracks.
  14. 46. Justin Armbruester – RHP (AA/AAA): The big right-hander made his way to AAA in 2023 with mixed results after starting the year pitching in Bowie. Throws a 90-94 MPH fastball that touches 95 that can get some swing and miss at times, but when he catches too much of the plate he can get barreled up. He abandoned a poor changeup in favor is using a cutter this year and that has helped defend himself better against lefties. He throws both a slider and curveball with the slider being the more consistent offering though neither are consistent swing and miss pitches. He doesn't really have a go to strike out pitch and that will limit his major league effectiveness unless he develops one. I think he would sit more 93-96 in relief and his fastball does have properties that help it play up a bit.
  15. It's probably about time to move Armbruester to relief now that he's close and could potentially add value in a Baumann type role if something were to happen to him and several others ahead of him. I don't see Armbruester as a starter at all.
  16. I'm going to say this because it apparently it needs to be said. WE GET YOUR VIEWPOINT ON BAUER! You just keep fighting the same fight. You've made your points on why you don't want him. Seems like now you're just looking to try and counter anything anyone posts about Bauer not being the Anti-Christ. For me, I'm very much in the camp of being fine with whatever way Elias wants to go because he has more info than I do about him. At this point it's either going to happen or not. Continuing the Bauer debate without any new information seems like it's just two sides continuing the same arguments.
  17. Means has become terribly fragile unfortunately so while I can understand why the Orioles are being so cautious with him, I share other's concerns that he's had all off season to rest and he's still behind schedule. I don't think we can project or expect too much from Means because his injury history tells us we should not put too many eggs in his basket. I look at anything he gives this year as icing on the cake. The Orioles need another starter IMHO.
  18. Nah, Wilson was a high 80s, low 90s guy who work off pitchability. Armbruester is a lot more like Wright in that he's a fastball, slider guy who can get it into the mid-90s but has no real outpitch against lefties and no consistent swing and miss pitch.
  19. Means has pitched 31.2 innings since 2021 and has never pitched more tan 155 innings in a season. Perhaps this delay is actually good for him and the Orioles. We also know Wells has been good as a starter for half a season and Irvin actually pitched pretty well after a terrible April that saw him banished to Norfolk quickly. So I'm not too concerned about "losing" Means for a month because he was a bit of a wildcard anyways due to his continual injury problems. The issue now comes in the pen where they are really short, especially at the impact reliever role. Wells was hopefully going to help with some of that and now he needs to be in the pen. I don't know if McDermott or Povich's command are good enough yet, but both have major league stuff that might be useful out of the pen. I'd still rather see them both be developed as starter's in Norfolk more, but this is about winning now and if they can do so, I'd give them looks this spring. Saying all that, I'd really like to see them get another starter or somehow get a guy who has the potential to be an impact high leverage reliever. The pen is the team's weak point at this stage of the season.
  20. He's not on par with those two, not even close in my opinion. He's more on par with guys like Mike Wright or Travis Lakins.
  21. Looks like he's a soft tosser in the Nick Vespi mold. https://www.mlb.com/video/00u7jzgkdtP9kH55c356/reels/matt-krook-swinging-strikes?partnerId=web_multimedia-search_video-share
  22. I will take the word of a police officer like you on this topic over any other, because you guys are the 1st responders to incidents where the emotions are running high, and lies and exaggerations tend to fly. At the end of the day, I have no idea whether the allegations are true or not against these guys. What I care about is whether Elias believes that A) They can help this ballclub win a world series B) They will fit into this clubhouse.
  23. It's a fair point to suggest that the juice is not worth the squeeze. Whether he'd become a "media circus" depends on how he acts. There are lots of redemption stories like Josh Hamilton who were able to successfully come back from rock bottom. Now, I don't know anything other than what I've read about Bauer. Personally, my major concern is that he doesn't seem to be a very good clubhouse guy and struggles to control his emotions on the field. But let's say Bauer interviews with Elias, and Elias thinks he can fit in? He's already said he's willing to take a major league minimum salary with incentives to pitch again. What if he's willing to relieve and could be a shutdown high leverage reliever? Now I don't know the answers to any of these, and I'm just as ok if Elias passes as if he decided to roll the dice with him. I guess in this case, I'll trust Elias' judgement over anyone else's because he's closer to the situation and has more info on Bauer than we in the public get out of the media.
  24. Me personally, I think you answered your own question. The game has radically changed in how it's coached and scouted, so it's tough for a lot of these guys to really bring a lot of "new value" to the players. I do think though that they may see little things here and there and if anyone can bring value it's JJ Hardy going over "hands work" and getting rid of the ball quickly. That's doesn't change. Still, they bring the old stories and a link to past successes and allow the young players to hope that one day, they will be that guy the other young players look at and go, "Hey, that's Gunnar Henderson, wow!"
  25. Cameron is a cool story. Going from message board poster, to fan graphs writer, to working for his hometown team. I once wanted that as well, so it's awesome to see how it progressed for him.
