  1. Certainly a valid question. Gotta imagine they like his defense, but his stick is not going to bring a lot of value.
  2. I don't think Odor should be released, he just should not be starting any more or at least rarely.
  3. Stowers needs experience and he needs to know he's going to be in the lineup everyday. Vavra i have more questions about with limited power and defensive questions.
  4. Perhaps, but he doesn't seem like a guy you waste a 40-man roster spot for. If they really like him as Adley's caddy next year, I get the feeling they could have gotten him on a minor league deal.
  5. No idea really. I would have sent Handley up to split time with Roberts. I doubt they are going to replace Chirnios now although he's pretty obviously not a major league player at this point in his career.
  6. I would wonder that too, but I'm not convinced Hyde makes the lineup out.
  7. Westburg doesn't have to be added to the 40-man roster this year so I think they are trying to save a roster spot this offseason.
  8. Stowers has hit lefties his entire minor league career. It's one of the things I've always like about him.
  9. This team is done as a playoff contender so it's time to play guys they need to evaluate and gain experience. Aguilar never had a role on this team and has done exactly what he was doing with the Marlins, nothing. Stowers should be in the lineup on most days and Vavra as well. I don't know Vavra has a role on the 2023 team, but its time to give him everyday at bats now. Stowers needs experience seeing major league pitching and he hits lefties well, so he should be in the lineup on most days as well.
  10. My positive vibes skillz do not working nearly as good as my negative vibes skills.
  11. Great, Barnes is not looking like the 5+ ERA version.
  12. Nice... I've got this weird feeling we're going to win this.
  13. Perez losing his composure a bit this inning.
  14. This game has all the makings of one of those improbable walk off home runs for a win. If Perez can hold them here, I strangely I have a good feeling about how this ends.
  15. I think it's something that can be trained for, but probably has to be during the developmental stage of a hitter. I don't know if a Mountcastle or Hays can be taught at this stage. They are who they are, but if you can get a guy when they first arrive, give them all the offseason training, the VR stuff, and make it a priority to get promoted, then I do think it can be developed.
  16. Yeah, he walks the guy before you so you make a swing on a pitch a foot inside. This is the difference between guys like Hays who came up with no swing decision training and the new guys. Kinda wonder what kind of hitter Hays or Mountcastle could have been.
  17. I was for a two years but have gradually gone back. I'm still not where I was before but I'm getting back into things.
  18. Damn, Devers is an Orioles killer both ways!
  19. Glad I just started to watch it after the Ravens win.
  20. Strahm looks like a guy who steals catalytic convertors in his off time.
  21. Got two more inning to use that bullet. Not with just a man on first. But Chirinos should be bunting.
  22. Wasn't intentional, but maybe that will fire up the team.
  23. Stowers might have been the best bet since he's hit lefties well in the minors and he'll take pitches.
  24. Yeah, I think this about just having a AAA caliber catcher to finish off the year.
