  1. We were no where near as good as the 8-4 team, but one look at this lineup Elias thinks is a valid major league lineup and you know we are much closer to the crap team we've beeen the last two days.
  2. Well there's your entertinament folks. God I wish I had the same low tolerance for "entertainment" as some of you do.
  3. Seems like Sid's algorythm thinks you can't have enough Sulsers! I don't even need to look up his numbers at this point when it comes to Elias's moves. More rearranging the deckchairs.
  4. You say so. I'm glad you are enjoying yourself. I am personally not entertained at all by this team. Enjoying those DPs? Enjoy Elias bringng up a bunch of AAAA guys that he keeps on his 40-man roster instead of finding real depth guys? Lots of fun for sure!
  5. We're a little banged having to watch this garbage once again.
  6. Am I the only one who starts to get annoyed at Brown and McDoanld just foaming over certain pitches when the Orioles are once again sucking???? I don't need them to be down in teh dumps, but you know what, I don't care if that pitch "hurt his feelings" or is "Wiffle ball" or any of the other five repeated cliches McDoanld uses.
  7. Or reach out and meekly ground out to second on a slider. Thsi team has nobody, and I mean nobody that ever puts the team on his shoulders and just has himself a couple of games.
  8. Haha, I guess you were one of the ones that thought we were contenders? Look at this lineup. Its an utter embarrassment to run out this lineup 4 years after you taken over a team.
  9. Message board conversations are off record..
  10. Another Elias/Sig pickup that was worthless. The "system" sure doesn't seem to find guys that aren't done. Franco last year and Odor this year. If he keeps getting run out there it's going to say a lot about Elias's ability to admit mistakes.
  11. If I never see McKenna on a major league field afain I'd be ok. Just a garbage at bat.
  12. Especially to give him $1 million. I mean, the kid lasted until the 8th round, it's pretty clear no one else felt like he was worth what he wanted but the Orioles. Sometimes I wonder if the Orioles think they are smarter than they really are. The kid had really good EVs, but there's a lot more to a hitter than good EVs. It's too early to judge Elias' drafting when it comes to his hitter heavy and spreading out the bonuses of his top picks strategies. I'll be honest, other than Gunnar Henderson, the top prospects have been largely either unassuming or playing poorly. I see a lot of walking, but not a lot of power and turn your head away if you like guys that hits for high average because that does not appears to be Elias and his scouts strength. It's too early to call this kid a bust, but his inability even compete in Low-A as a 19-year old while looking utterly out of place from a body makeup means he's got a long way to go.
  13. It does not. Stowers slow start has hurt them for sure, but Elias has filled his 40-man roster with mid-20s AAAA guys. None of them have real upside and they've all pretty much shown why they were not well thought of. I mean, Nevin, McKenna, and Bannon are not exactly real prospects and none of them hit left-handed, something this team needs badly. Yet, has he tried to makes some moves to get some left-handed hitters? Heck, I'd take Dwight Smith Jr. and let him DH while Mancini plays 1B while Mouncastle is out, but we get AAAA guys.
  14. Pineda was probably pissed because it's not often you get to face a mostly AAA lineup like the Orioles running out there right now. I'm sorry, but this lack of depth 4 years into this is on Elias. Can't be running the Owings, McKenna, and Nevin's of the world out there like they are consistent major league players. They are all fringe AAAA guys. Yet here they are starting in May.
  15. I agree. I just don't think it's in his DNA. I noted in several of his prospect reports about how he was benched for lackadaisicle plays. I think when he's focued he can be good on defense, but he just seems to be a guy who struggles to find that focus despite his skills in the field.
  16. For a guy who is up here for his speed and defense, his defense has been suspect this year.
  17. That's the non chalant BS I saw from McKenna in the minors at times. That's the first time I've seen him do it at the major league league level.
  18. For the life of me I don't understand how Owings holds a spot on this team.
  19. He very well may move over them shortly if they don't pick it up.
  20. After a good start, Hall has OPS'd .633 with a 28.8% K rate and no power in his last 30 days although that covers just 59 PAs because of going on the IL. I will say I like him a bit defensively in the outfield though and he does bring 4th outfielder skills of speed and defense, but I'm not sure the bat plays enough still.
  21. If he does it will be because of attrition mor than he suddenly blossomed into a real top prospect. I have defensive concerns with him and would like to see him hit something other ambushing fastballs in fastball counts.
  22. Not a fan of his stuff honestly. I'm always amazed when he has success because I just don't get him.
  23. Or more accurately under resourced, manned and with a lack of influence while Buck was in charge of the MLB team.
