Games not over, but if they don't get to him before 5 I will not be happy.
-
Ah, but then I would be calling him stupid which would be against the rules.
-
Weird, Adley struck out.
-
I can not put anyone on ignore. Dumb statements trigger me. I didn't call you dumb, I called your dumb argument that 4year old uses "Think you can do better". Lol
-
Dumb statement even for a game thread post. You know that's a dumb argument.
-
A bigger question is why you are calling a 3-2 slider on thrb8th hitter? Awful execution by Kremer but questionable pitch call by Adley.
-
Dang, lucky to get out of that with only 2.
-
Totally garbage 3-2 by Kremer.

I want to say this about Coby Mayo (All Inclusive)

I doubt that. Have to imagine they have those things in the hopper for the big prospects. -

Well I guess Holliday is your backup shortstop then. Let's hope Mayo is an everyday starter at 3B and not a right-handed DH against lefties. -
I'm not arguing some posters start over reaction threads or make over reaction posts, but i think when you get into most of the threads, you find more reasonable takes backed by statistics. Saying that, this is not an over reaction thread but a thread highlighting Adley's long slump. As for my take, Adley needs to be moved down the lineup until he starts to hit again. Can't have an automatic out at #2.

We shall see. Kjerstad, Cowser and Westburg had pretty good credentials when they were brought up and had a hard time finding regular a bats when they first arrived. I do think Mayo should be a cut above them, but we will see. If Mayo gets a start and gets two hits, does he get benched the next day like Kjerstad did? Hopefully not, but again, we shall see. -
All that time and he ends up signing for the $150K bonus his draft position is assigned. Guess we know who won that negotiation. Either way, now the young man can try and improve his stuff in a professional environment. I suppose the team sees a way to get more velocity out of him despite by a smallish left-hander, but hey, that's what development is about.

I do think it's worth wondering whether he will get the Adley/Gunnar/Holliday treatment or the Kjerstad/Stowers/Norby/Ortiz/Cowser treatment when it comes to playing time when he first arrives. I would guess the former, but I honestly don't know. Guess it depends on who goes for him. If it's Urias, then he's going to play everyday. If Urias stays, who knows? -

Not going to lie, this made me lol for real. -
Once he plays he'll be #4.

Akin was the only guy with an option that they would consider. He'll be back. Soto will take his role for now.

I'm sure there are a lot classes off the field on how to act as a professional ball player on and off the field, media training, and financial advice. On the field they are getting the ones that will go to Delmarva in game shape. I'm sure there are sim games with the FCL players that are sticking around for instructs in the fall.

I'd like to marvel at Elias' love for Livan Soto. This the 3rd time he's acquired him this year (twice claimed on waivers and twice lost on waivers) and now he finally gets to use him at the major league level. He's got a real chance to stick here the rest of the year with Mateo going on the 60-day IL.
