  1. For better or worse, I've grown a lot in my time as an Orioles fan. A side effect of one particular way in which I've grown is that I can no longer fit in some of my jerseys - poor Jay Gibbons and Koji Uehara never see the light of day anymore! I know I could try and sell them, but I honestly would rather they go to a passionate fan, especially someone who might not be able to afford a jersey. I had the idea of some sort of jersey exchange or donation drive so I wanted to see if anyone knew of anything preexisting along those lines. Anyone else out there in a similar situation?
  2. This is my best effort ever, with a rarity score of 10. I didn't manage to keep them all 1% or under, though. Six Orioles.
  3. I hadn't seen this posted yet: The Next Chapter - Episode One
  4. Honestly, I don't think your position and mine are in contradiction. The condition of the franchise today doesn't negate the suffering of the fan base, nor the missteps of prior ownership, nor does it say that the past three decades went the way they should have or could have.
  5. I am not using on-field results to judge, I'm saying the position the team is in now, with Elias, the farm system, etc. There were definitely bad times, lots of them, and I would never claim otherwise. And I do give PA credit specifically for MASN, he did foresee the whole Gnats thing and secured us something in exchange for losing such a huge chunk of our potential fan base.
  6. Yes, and I still think we are in a better place today than when PA purchased the franchise. I genuinely don't see a contradiction there.
  7. But like, I do think that. I think that if you look at where we are today, the positives over PA's tenure outweigh the negatives. It's not an unreasonable take.
  8. Javy was technically past his prime, but he also raked in his first season with us, .316 average with a 127 OPS+ and 4.8 WAR.
  9. Greg Zaun is managing the Lexington Legends of the Atlantic League, with Arthur Rhodes as his pitching coach. https://www.lexingtonlegends.com/blogs/news/big-league-battery-mates-reunite-to-lead-lexington-legends
  10. Frobby, you know that was hyperbole. Come on now.
  11. No, but it certainly is weird how often men - and apparently also the police in general - assume that every accusation that is made is false.
  12. Is it weird that all the cops are pro-Bauer?
  13. While this is true, I am also confident that Elias knew full well the implication of the timing. I don't know what that means, exactly, because I doubt Elias would have delayed a move to send a message.
  14. It will be better than last year I imagine, but I beg everyone to not panic when it's not sold out on a school night in early April.
  15. Carlos Baerga apparently says Snell. And JD Martinez for some reason. Apparently he was right on Turner to the Jays and Semien to the Jays, but wrong on Freeman to the Jays.
