  1. @Can_of_cornbrings much more to the board than your complaint about a layout format.
  2. See... now that's the key for me. Urias and Mateo and Kemp... I wouldn't think twice about releasing them or trading them for any lottery ticket. But the decision with Hays and Mullins is much more complicated.
  3. The owner isn't going to tell Elias how to manage the roster, nor is he going to tell Hyde how to manage games. Kemp should be an easy decision, perhaps Urias could be too. That gets the O's an infielder or two. But what would you suggest they do with Mullins (560 OPS) and Hays (249 OPS)? They're not injured... are you going to option them to free up space for Stowers or Kjerstad? Or release them?
  4. Ya... I agree. Gunnar made a fantastic play and a poor throw. It happens
  5. I'd rather the team get "on track" than "untracked". It's an unfortunate combination of all the things mentioned so far. It's only 8 games, but there should be recognition from Elias that these things have to be addressed.
  6. But see... even though you started with a question about offensive options, you turned it around into a bullpen failure. A bullpen can only do so much when the offense totally mucks up the game.
  7. Complaining about the bullpen usage in a game where the lineup continues to underperform is the height of shortsightedness
  8. You probably have a higher OPS too
  9. I don't think he hesitated. I just think he has the reaction time of a glacier
  10. I hope he proves me wrong, but I'd rather see Paul Bako at the plate than Tony Kemp
  11. DOH... contact play doesn't work there
  12. Agreed. At the very least platooning with Cowser
  13. Don't tell @Tony-OH but the contact play worked
  14. I wouldn't go that far. But I do prefer Mountcastle on the bench against RH
  15. Have to think that if the O's offer Santander a QO he is going to jump out of his shoes to accept it.
  16. I'm not sure I want Hays on the roster at all after this year.
  17. I certainly don't believe Cowser decided not to swing before the third strike curveball was thrown. I do think that Cowser was guessing that pitch would be another curveball low and away in the dirt.
  18. Someone mentioned Walk in from the Bullpen song. Here's mine. One of the sickest intros to a song ever
  19. I wouldn't recommend this until the O's actually win another championship.
  20. I also wouldn't complain if the O's traded/DFA'd Urias, Mateo and Kemp. Bring up Holliday, Norby and Stowers. Have Mayo and Kjerstad waiting in the wings.
  21. Have to imagine his value is pretty low. Maybe lower level prospects or lottery tickets?
  22. And THAT is why you play 9 innings!
  23. wow that was a hittable curveball
  24. Thank God they walked Hays
