  1. Hoping he needs a hip replacement so insurance pays most of the rest of his contract.
  2. Last season he was "benched indefinitely" in June. Will it take that long this year?
  3. Davis might get upset when he realizes that the snickering he hears as he walks to the plate is coming from the dugout
  4. Does he even work with the new coaches on his hitting?
  5. He looks like he has no idea what he's doing at the plate. Totally clueless. Lost.
  6. I'd still like to see Mancini get some reps at 3b. He likely would field better than Nunez and hit better than Ruiz.
  7. Playing Chris Davis and winning don't belong in the same sentence.
  8. I'd rather lose 100 and get the top draft pick again.
  9. Even if he hits, at 33 he adds nothing to a rebuilding team. I can't wait until he's gone.
  10. Has he struck out looking in BP yet? Asking for a friend.
  11. I liked him better when he was good at playing baseball.
  12. We should be ok with Mullins, Stewart, Rickard, Santander, Brugman, Peterson and Li'l Yaz until Hays and Diaz are ready to come up. We won't score many runs, but we shouldn't need to sign free agent placeholders who actually cost money.
  13. He has the excuse (so far) that there is no hitting coach to guide him.
  14. Jackson will turn 25 in July, which tells me he's not seen as a long-term solution. But, he's played 2B, SS, 3B and CF in the minors, which makes me think they will look at him as a utility guy. None of our other utility candidates can hit, so he might have a chance of sticking in that role.
  15. Of the three infielders we've picked up in the last week, I don't expect any of them to be with the team in three years, but the most important thing (to me, anyway) is to have good defenders to support the young pitchers. You can never tell how good a young pitcher is when you're giving outs away. Also, it makes it easier to trade Villar before opening day if a decent offer comes along.
  16. And that's Ruzious on Rio Ruiz! Sorry, couldn't resist.
  17. You can't grow a winning culture with losing players.
  18. I won't argue the point, but you're wrong. ?
  19. It also gives the Orioles a 24-man roster. Someone competing for a job should be in that spot. If he makes an effort to improve and there is some progress, give him a few months to see if he can get better. If he makes no effort, than he's the opposite of a leader and role model and must be cut.
