  1. Going to 26 on a squad will make it easier to carry him.
  2. If Davis plays well enough to not be released he will really gum up the works.
  3. So, Mike Wright just got traded from a last place team to a first place team? Talk about silver linings ... or maybe it's that horseshoe he's got stuck up his you know what.
  4. I'm afraid that as a result of this ruling, O's hitters will have to use smaller bats and pitchers will have to use larger balls. Has that already gone into effect?
  5. Keeping him rested for the playoff run.
  6. Because Smith is out and we don't have any more outfielders.
  7. Yes. 6IP, 2ER. I'd take that from any of our pitchers any game.
  8. The ball was scalded and hit directly over his head. He didn't get a good read and couldn't catch up with it. Not sure he would have even with a good read.
  9. Bundy pitched well today. 6IP, 2ER, 96 pitches. Threw a lot of changeups. It was very effective.
  10. I think you guys are quoting FRobby. The part he quoted from Roch's post was above the link.
  11. If he could be above replacement value for the balance of his contract, that would be amazing.
  12. We might not have lost the lead if you hadn't started watching. Ever think of that?
  13. He'll probably lose all the progress he's made and have to start over.
  14. Punishing him for having a stomach virus and being unable to play.
  15. Number of pitchers will be limited to 13.
  16. With the active roster expanding to 26 next season, it will become a little easier to hide him. I expect he will start most games this year, back up Mountcastle next year, and be released as the team becomes more competitive in 2021, with $46 million remaining on his contract.
  17. We've given up at least five runs in 12 of our 15 games. Would be nice if our pitchers would stop serving up so many long balls so we could see exactly how good the defense really is.
  18. It will be interesting to see how the team supports him if he goes into another prolonged hitless streak at some point. I can't see there being another celebratory outburst of cheer when he breaks another long 0-fer.
  19. Whoever had 4/13 in the pool, today's your day.
  20. Not in the lineup tonight, so the wall is safe.
  21. Yes! Let him throw the ball instead of making him use that wooden stick thingy.
  22. I don't think he would suck as a reliever, either, but I also don't think we will pay him more than $1 million to be one.
  23. Bundy makes $2.8 million this season, his first in arbitration. He'll make more than that next season. No one will want to pay him real money to pitch in relief until he's had a few years of success in high leverage situations.
  24. He might be good out of the pen, but his salary is too high for a middle reliever. He would be non-tendered by the O's this off-season and get what he can as a free agent from whichever team is willing to pay him. He only works in Baltimore as a starter, and he has to get better at it.
