1. For being stupid enough to give him everything he asked for?
2. Is it too soon to cut the playoff talk and make the rest of the year about seeing what Hays and Sisco can do?
3. No need to make a move today. Leaving Hardy on the 60-day DL for now.
4. It would be pretty great to play the WC game in Baltimore instead of the Bronx.
5. You hang 'em, we bang 'em.
6. Why risk losing Gentry to a waiver claim when Joey can be optioned for two weeks? Gentry is a better defender and has hit better than Rickard over the last month.
7. Gentry is still a much better defender than Rickard. And if they send Joey down for 2 weeks, they can keep both he and Gentry. Why Hardy over Beckham? Because Buck has already informed Hardy that his starting role is secure when he comes off the DL. I hope Beckham keeps playing as he has the last two games, but there is always the chance that he will revert back to the guy Tampa Bay couldn't wait to get rid of.
8. Here's how I see it. Trumbo activated, Rickard optioned until September 1st. Flaherty activated, Tejada DFA. Hardy activated, Beckham optioned until September 1st (could change if he continues to play well over the next 2 weeks). Santander activated, Hart optioned until September 1st.
9. Buck is slow to move guys to the DL. Hardy and AJ missed time to injury when they were called "day to day," but were actually NFW. Tillman probably should have been on the DL with a sprained ankle the entire month of April, if not longer. Wieters was unavailable to play nearly half the time he was active because he couldn't play on consecutive days for most of the season. I'm guessing we were pretty close to Toronto in games missed. And, since our core up the middle is so important to our defense, and that's where our injuries were, I don't consider us lucky.
10.

Just saw this. Thanks!

11. With Zdurniek out in Seattle, who will overpay Parra now?
12. The only thing I've seen is that he spent most of his time in LF this season with Milwaukee, whereas he was primarily a RF in Arizona, where his arm is a bigger factor.
13. For a guy who many said wouldn't make much of an impact, he's made quite an impact so far.
14. The one thing about the Parra deal that concerned me was him coming into a league where he hadn't seen most of the pitchers. Glad to see he's scoring runs in spite of the challenge. For the most part, I like what I see so far.
15. If you're trading for someone for two months, he better be at the apex of his career.
16. If those aren't snakes, perhaps you should see someone.
17. I think developing prospective #4 starters in order to trade them at the deadline is a defensible strategy. Maybe he catches on right away in the big leagues, or, maybe it takes him three years to figure it out. I don't see the O's giving a guy three years to figure out how to be a #4. You trade for that guy or find him on a field in Mexico (like Miguel Gonzalez). So, I'm not all upset about giving up Davies. Whether or not Parra is the right guy we will have to see.
18. You really think he might do that, even though it would leave a huge hole in the rotation and make it impossible to compete? Or, are you being sarcastic? I can't tell.
19. Somehow, I think the Tigers would prefer to deal Cespedes elsewhere rather than have to pitch to him for the next three games. I am assuming there will be other offers out there of equal or greater value to the O's.
20. Here we go. Rangers 5 - Yankees 2
21. No, there doesn't seem to be a Fox game today. O's game is also the FREE game on MLB.TV tonight.
