Considering Elias' role in Correa's career to this point I think it's almost a sure thing if he came to Baltimore there would be extensive trust in both directions.

The more it drags on I think th likelyhood he ends up back in HOU increases. The Astros don't seem like they were anxious to get rid of him and I don't get the impression he was unhappy there. If Boras is unsuccessful getting anyone to bite on the type of deal he wants I think Houston is the most likely fallback on a shorter term deal. It would allow Boras to try again in a year or two for the massive deal.

That seems unlikely to me looking at the trend. Almost 2/3 of what he's been worth was the result of his first three seasons. Somewhere in the neighborhood of 10 WAR over the first 4 seems like a realistic outcome. I don't see him getting anywhere close to 23 over the contract.

You are too kind giving them respect for this move. I see a dysfunctional organization. If they had the money to spend they should have done so while Arenado was there and kept him. Between what they are still are on the hook for to Arenado and Bryant they are now spending $220m over the next 7 years for 3B. They also give a no trade clause to a player on the wrong side of 30 whose track record of staying healthy is not great. They got fleeced by St Louis last year and now they’ve been fleeced again by Boras.
