  1. I can’t believe they’re still on the air given rock music isn’t popular anymore. I always thought it was funny that their name is 98 Rock but their station is actually 97.9.
  2. Can't see it. Stupid X shows up when I click on my desktop and doesn't go away. Can you summarize?
  3. Ranger Suarez going for the Phillies tonight.
  4. I've griped about the lineup a few times this year only to have the Orioles come out and put up a good amount of runs. But I am not trying for a reverse lock here when I say that this is a dog**** lineup. Hays has cooled significantly, Adley is whatever at this point as much as it pains me to say it, Santander is having the most quiet .814 OPS month ever, my position on Mountcastle hasn't changed despite the fact that he's looked better since coming back, Westburg is whatever, Urias is my guy but is whatever at this point, McCann couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat, I am confident a Little Leaguer could get Mateo out and I don't know if McKenna knows what day of the week it is. They'll probably score 8+ tonight.
  5. Well, that's fair. And I know I'm going to get flak for it because Norby Nation exists on the OH but I really am not interested in him as a prospect, squarely because of Henderson, Holliday, Westburg, and Ortiz. In other words, he's blocked and probably has more value in a trade. So you're correct but I'm also being a bit callous when I say that a guy like Norby is someone I don't want. Not necessarily his fault, it's just that there's a lot of competition and he's on the outside looking in.
  6. Baumann. I mean, this thread is going to be a list of players most of us don't like and want to see gone, so while I'm here I'll agree on Mateo, Mountcastle and Stowers. I'll agree on Prieto because we've already got a lot of middle infielders. Expect Frazier to be mentioned a lot.
  7. Yeah, well, someone didn't really take it seriously.
  8. I agree, going 6-4 over the last 10 and wrestling first place away from Tampa must be exhausting.
  9. Sort of. I'm not gonna get into a @Can_of_cornsemantics debate with you, though.
  10. O'Hearn says hello. But I don't think anyone here really overrated Mateo. I think a lot of people (myself included) really liked him for what he was; great/elite defense (Fielding Bible Award) and elite speed. And when he went on one of his tears like he did last season and earlier this year, we all wondered who he truly was, which was fair. That whole "toe tap" video on MLB Network didn't do anything to dissuade people in thinking he'd turned some type of a corner. You were right (shocking, I know) to point out that if his defense slipped at all he'd lose value...and the defense has slipped. I didn't think it would slip this bad due to the fact that he just turned 28. However, I would argue that I don't think his range has diminished all that much, if at all...the errors he's made recently have seemed to have been more in line with basic fundamentals and focus. So I don't think anyone here really overrated him, there have been cries for Westburg/Ortiz ever since the offseason. I was fine with letting Mateo start the season as the full time SS with the caveat that if he tanked that he should be replaced. He's been awful for awhile now and the change needs to be made.
