That's fine. Two things: I don't think he's going to get more selective at the plate anytime soon. And I'm not saying he needs to have Rutschman or Henderson plate discipline, he'd just need to be like, 25% better than what he is. Selfishly, I find the excuse making for him to be absolutely exhausting.

Happy to have Ced almost returning. Don't feel the need to see Mountcastle back.

He'll get picked up by some random team like the White Sox and throw 7 shutout innings against us next time we face them.

I just think he's settling into a guy who can look really great one start and get bombed the next. Consistently inconsistent. The results, as you've pointed out, can be all over the place. IMO, that makes him anywhere from a #3 starter to a #5 starter.

It's still so funny to see half you guys see someone get DFA'd and then you're all like OOOO OOOO OOOO who are we going to bring up? Cowser? Westburg? Ortiz? If you haven't learned by now, there's no saving you.

I know it's hard to believe, but people vote for guys like Santander because they're a well-liked player on their favorite team. Not everyone votes for All-Stars based on actual merit.

I don't think they'll shut him down. But I'll be curious to see if there's a dropoff in performance once he passes his career high in innings.
