I don't think they call him up in the middle of a series, unless Bemboom or Chirinos goes down with an injury. I'd love to be wrong, but I don't think I am. I hate this line of thinking, I really do, but they're not going to have him play for two games at home only to whisk him away on the road. They're going to want to debut him at the beginning of a homestand to see if they can generate more ticket sales over an entire week/weekend.
As dumb as it is, I don't think they'd call him up while they're on the road, either so I'm assuming he doesn't debut while on the road in New York or Boston. Again, unless one of our other two catchers gets hurt.
So that leaves Tuesday, May 31st as the date I'm picking. Home game against the Mariners. I said he wouldn't be up until June, I was hoping I'd be wrong about that, too. And while technically May 31st isn't June, it might as well be.
This whole thing is absurd.
