  1. If they sign all 20 players, I don't care what they leave on the table.
  2. Are you going to go ape**** again if they sign all of their draft picks but leave, like, 100k on the table?
  3. I don't think those bigger workloads are coming until 2023. I think we'll see G-Rod in Baltimore next summer but on a limited pitch/innings count for sure. We won't see him pitch a full workload in the majors until 2023, IMO.
  4. His highness SG brings up a good point though...he's only throwing 70 or so pitches per start. Need to see how he handles a bigger workload. That said, G-Rod is a big, strong kid. I don't believe it'll be hard for him to ramp up.
  5. Jokes aside... 1. Rutschman 2. Rodriguez 3. Hall 4. Henderson 5. Cowser 6. Westburg 7. Stowers 8. Haskin 9. Bradish 10. Vavra The great thing about this exercise is that the 5-10 slots for a lot of the lists seem a lot stronger than they have in years past. Glad to see people leaving off fringe guys like Diaz. Kjerstad is unqualified to rank, unfortunately. Had he been playing I'm probably thinking he'd be anywhere from 4-6 but for now I can't consider him a prospect.
  6. The king of the small sample size whining about 52 at bats.
  7. Totally agree. Brown has a good voice, but he just tries too hard to be witty with the pop culture references. I don't want to call it a sarcastic tone, because sarcastic implies derision....but he's got this tone that I can't stand sometimes. It's just, like, dude...stop trying so hard to be witty or funny. That said, he's way better than Garceau and I haven't thought twice about Jim Hunter this season. Thorne, IMO, was the best, mispronounced names and all. What a voice.
  8. They used to have two all star games. One halfway, one after the season. That stopped awhile ago though.
  9. That first one, as great as he was, I never would have thought of him for something like this. Strictly because he didn't provide great offensive output.
  10. You can make all the excuses you want for a guy like this. But at some point, he’s gonna get it or he isn’t, “rushed” or not.
  11. Per Heyman, Cowser agreed to 4.9 million. Slot was 6.1 million. Which of you starts crowing first?
  12. Keith Law did a draft breakdown for each AL East team. It’s on the Athletic. I think his takes are pretty fair, though I’m assuming what will get discussed here the most is his conclusion.
  13. I like that Hyde isn't going to start wasting his bullpen tonight. He's gonna make Akin go 90+. That still won't get him past the 4th inning most likely but thats 2 innings the bullpen won't have to work.
  14. Wow, a relatively quick inning for Akin's standards.
  15. He does. Gotta think that at some point he'll be health when the others aren't.
  16. Lol Alberto off Akin. Like, it's not even hard for him.
  17. He will. Between Stewart, Santander, Hays, someone is gonna go down with an injury.
  18. I don't think he's got the stuff. I don't see how a move to the bullpen would benefit him. You seem to believe that the command isn't there which is good to know. I've been wondering if he's a guy who is nibbling or doesn't have command. And if he doesn't have command, I'm not interested at all.
  19. I know. But Akin was supposed to be someone that, you know, could have been part of our future, or something. Not that I expected anything from him, but there should be a difference between a guy like him and a guy like Eshelman. And yet, there isn't. In fact, I'd prefer to watch Eshelman than Akin.
