PFF has Jackson rated #38 ... If they are indeed going to select him it would take a trade back from 28 or up from 55 or 60. I think someone will fall due to the annual QB reach. The Ravens will be ready to select that guy that drops.

I think them drafting a OT at this point is a pipe dream. Most of what I've read said that they are working on and planning on extending Stanley. I don't think you get his equal in Jackson.

I think Jackson has some potential, but I don’t think he’s a good fit for a team like the Ravens who is ready to win now.  Isaiah Wilson, Niang, and Hunt would be the guys I’d consider for day 2.

  2. Of his top 10, maybe one or two will be there in the second round.  Since you guys have Brown, I’d complement him more with a possession type guy as opposed to Ruggs, Hamler, and Reager.  I’m confident Jeudy and Lamb will be gone by 28.  Jefferson is the only guy left that I’d take in the first if they go WR.

Mims or Pittman in the 2nd would be really solid.  This is such a deep class for WR, they could get a contributor late.

The OT's are all over the place recently.  If Becton goes earlier than 12 or 15 I'm seeing Austin Jackson 6'5" and 322 and Andrew Thomas 6'5" and 315 going in the mid 15-20 picks. Much easier to trade up to. 15-20.

Austin Jackson and some Michael Pittman

    Andrew Thomas

I don’t think you would need to trade up to get Jackson.  He may not be there in the second, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see him fall.  He’s losing momentum as guys like Ezra Cleveland and Isaiah Wilson are rising.  I heard on some podcast that the Browns are hot for Cleveland and may move back to get him later in the first.

Pittman in the second would be a good pick.  He may fall back to the third, but he’d fit nicely with a late second.

  4. This class is so freaking deep at receiver.  I really Jeudy, but I wouldn’t be surprised if the best WR ends up coming out of the third through fifth rounds like Michael Thomas.

Guys I like who could still be around in the third or later are Bryan Edwards (South Carolina); KJ Hamler (PSU); Michael Pittman (USC); KJ Hill (OSU); Isaiah Hodgkins (Oregon St) and Isaiah Coulter (Rhode Island) — could get this guy in the seventh.

Man, McDonald's 1993 season looks like a Cy Young Award type year! He didn't even get any votes...

    220.1 IP, 3.39 ERA, 171 Ks, 7 CG, 0.7 HR/9

Look at those same stats from the guy who won it that year, Jack McDowell.  Not that different.  Guess they really valued wins.

    256.2 IP, 3.37 ERA, 158 Ks, 10 CG, 0.7 HR/9

Look at those complete games! 17 combined.  Only two AL guys had as many as three in 2019.

I fully expect Queen to be long gone without a trade up. Hope I’m wrong. Ruiz also gone before 55...possibly at 32.

Dont like the Gaither pick... fine with R Davis. Don’t like either of the WRs and will be disappointed if that’s what we net from a deep clas! No to McFarland.

Queen was available then and it gave me an A- for the selection there.  Ruiz is likely to be gone there, but he was available and I had to take him.  There are other guards in the third to fifth round range that I like.

Gibson would thrive with OC, IMO.  He’s not a receiver as much as a “weapon.”  Puts a ton of speed on the field with him, Jackson, and Brown.

  7. I did a simulation on first-pick without trades and came away with this:

    Queen ILB LSU

    Ruiz C/OG Michigan

    Davis-Gaither - OLB App St

    Davis - DT/DE Alabama

    Gandy-Golden WR Liberty

    Driscoll - OT Auburn

    McFarland - RB Maryland

    Gibson - WR Memphis

    Robinson CB - Tulsa

That Bertman quote is like vintage Sparky Anderson, who once said Tory Lovullo was as good as Mickey Mantle.  Calling a college kid better than peak Roger Clemens is ballsy.  And completely wrong.

Matt Riley was pretty hyped, too.  Called up as a teenager, spoke of himself in the third person, drove that monster truck with the 24 Karat license plate.

Riley was one of the first ones that jumped out to me.

The ones mentioned before make a lot sense nationally.

Locally, to the OH, I remember a ton of buzz with Val Majewski.  As in on the same plane as Markakis.

Just taking a stab .... Nobody will ever get these right. 50% would be a miracle.

    About Niang....

Agreed.  I just haven’t seen him mocked past the 4th.  Guys can slide though.  That would be tremendous value in the 5th or later.

    1. Patrick Queen, LB, LSU or Murray, LB, Ohio State (If I can choose its Queen)

    2. Cesar Ruiz, C, Michigan

    2. Netane Muti, G, Freshno

    3.   Laviska Shenault, WR, Colorado

    3.  Jordan Brooks, LB, Texas Tech

    4. Peoples-Jones, WR, Michigan

    4. Lynne Bowden, WR/QB, Kentucky

    5  Colby Parkinson, TE, Stanford               6'7"    252

    7  Lucas Tiang, OT, TCU

Are you talking Lucas Niang?  Does he have any off field issues?  If not, I’d be stunned if he fell to the 7th.  I wouldn’t be surprised if he is a day 2 pick.  Though people drop all the time, I guess.

Peoples-Jones is really tough to evaluate because of poor QB play.  He looks the part for sure.  Ton of intriguing WR options in the middle rounds

Ozark is far and away the best thing Netflix has produced in my opinion.  I had no idea Jason Bateman had dramatic chops, and he legitimately blew my mind with his performance.  For anyone who's a fan of great acting, Ozark is a must watch.

Just wrapped up Season 3.  I usually don’t binge, but couldn’t wait to see the next episode.

THE IHME chart has dropped the death right from around 93,000 to about 82,000. Best case scenario is now in the 30,000 range. Hope we can keep doing what we are doing to get the numbers in the 30,000 or lower range. Not great but better then the 100,000 or more predicted with no procedures in place.

Interesting.  Prior to their update, the fatalities were higher on 4/2 and 4/4, about the midpoint for 4/3 and near the high point of the range on 4/5.

Harrison is the 5th ranked MLB according to Walter Football. He's projected by them to be a 3-5 round guy. I would think he's likely a reach in the 3rd much less the 2nd.

I'd be ok drafting him for WIL in the 4th, but he's not the stud MLB that I think we need. Conversely, I think Braun or Jordan Brooks would be a better 2nd LB taken by the Ravens. And I think they need 2 guys! I also like Anferee Jennings at the WIL.

Walter Football doesn’t have Queen ranked as an ILB.  What’s up with that?  Other services have Harrison 3rd behind Queen and Murray.  I do like Brooks and Logan Wilson.  Point being, you can get an impact MLB later if a stud drops unexpectedly to 28.  San Fran got Greenlaw in the third last season and he was great for them.
