Oh come on now, he didn't choose his favorite teams name, disagree with him, but don't find an back handed way to suggest he is racist just because he likes alliteration.
Back to the subject at hand, I keep reading July for the start of the season. I for one do hope they find a safe way to get games going, really need to see some baseball.
Also, has there been any mention of what starting the MLB season would mean for minor league players, is it a forgone conclusion that there will be no minor league seasons no matter what they do with MLB?
They won’t make a firm decision until things get clearer, but I believe the plan is no minor league games, but possibly expanded rosters.

NFLTR says JAX are absolutely looking hard at Dalton, But more from a backup and not upgrade.
He’d be reunited with Jay Gruden. Limited offseason could make him a better option than Minshew.

Absolutely. He hasn’t put up top 5 pick numbers, but he’s not a bad player. He’d compliment Brown’s skill set well.
Wait. I don’t think he’s available. Just means the Titans won’t pick up his fifth year option which is 2021.

NHL commissioner said next season start could be pushed back to December.
Said it isn't a race to see who can come back first and player safety comes first.
Has he closed the door on the ‘19/20 season? I haven’t been paying attention to the NHL.
If the NBA/NHL are trying to continue their seasons and have playoffs, and they don’t finish until late July/August, then postponing the following season makes sense.

Winston to the Saints for $1M.
Dalton released.
I could see Dalton going to NE or Jax. Maybe NYJ.
If I was a contender and had some cap room, I’d bring him in. Maybe Seattle, don’t really know their cap situation.

Report: NBA expects to need about 15,000 coronavirus tests to restart season amid pandemic
(Can’t figure out why I can’t copy article from Yahoo! App)
Silver says they won’t bid on 15k tests if there continues to be a shortage nationwide. But if enough tests are produced for the country, then there could be a path to the playoffs in Vegas or Orlando.

Pretty wild story in the Post today about Andre Dawson. The HOFer owns and operates a funeral home in Miami. He talks about providing comfort while social distancing and the expectation of increased volume due to COVID-19.

Whats worse for these employees is I read that it is almost impossible to apply for unemployment benefits in Florida.
Also to Can of Corn on why Florida doesn't have worse Covid outcome. Theory is that vitamin D deficiencies make covid worse. Something people in Florida should not have. Everyone in the Northeast should be taking Vitamin D supplements.
Taking Vitamin D is a good idea even when not in this COVID-19 environment. I read the same, but then I read about what is going on in Ecuador, I pause to make the connection. There is so much about this virus that we don’t know, and won’t know, until we get more data. For example, when this broke out, there was a great fear for asthmatics (I’m one). Then the NYT reports (mid April) that only 5% of NY’s COVID’s fatal cases had asthma.

Does anyone know if there are changes to the 53 man roster rules for 2020? I feel like I've read conflicted things from different sources. If it remains at 53, I look at the post-draft roster as this:
QB: Haskins, Allen (2)
RB: Guice, Barber, McKissic, Gibson, Love (5)
WR: McLaurin, Harmon, Sims Jr, Gandy-Golden, Latimer (5)
TE: Moss, Hentges, Thomas, Sprinkle (4)
OL: Charles, Miller, Roullier, Scherff, Moses, Lucas, Schweitzer, Ismael. Vujnovich (9) (25)
DL: Young, Sweat, Kerrigan, Anderson, Payne, Ioannidis, Allen, Settle, Brantley (9)
LB: Foster, Davis, Holcomb, Bostic, Pierre-Lewis, Hamilton, Hudson (7)
DB: Fuller, Moreau, Moreland, Darby, Johnson, Collins, Davis, Apke, Everett (9) (50)
Specials: Sundberg, Hopkins, Way (3) (53)

Yeah, they do have some cap room available for cuts. I could see them spending on Reiff (potential MN cut) Peters, or Penn at LT if they don’t think Charles is ready.
Also Logan Ryan is available at CB. Wouldn’t mind a high dollar, one year deal on him and play the compensation game with him in 2021. I don’t think our corners are good, but I don’t think they are terrible either. You have to hope a combination of scheme, better pass rush, and a return to form for Darby and Fuller leads to better production. I think there is talent on that side of the ball, I just hope JDR can bring it out.
I look at the SB Giants and Eagles teams with a relentless rotational pass rush. And what Bosa did for the 9ers as a blue print for what their defense should try to emulate.
I think Gibson is the guy Turner really wanted. I do think they could have had him later, but with Bowden going in the third, maybe Gibson doesn’t last past that spot.
Here is a good, IMO, break down of Turner’s philosophy. I could see Gibson playing the Samuel role. They also have 8 picks next year and the OL guys are highly touted. I’d like for them to move on from Moses in 2021 if Charles can hack it at LT.
It’s a shame about this COVID-19 because you’d like to get Haskins as much time with the coaches as you can.

From what was reported Atlanta was offering #16, a 2nd, 2021 first and 2nd, and Calvin Ridley. The top 4 OL were gone before 16. Is AJ Terrell a lock down corner? I dunno.
They drafted as many linemen as RB/WR this year.
If Charles starts at OT, then they would have drafted the entire line.
I didn’t like what they did in the back half of the draft. The center is kind of a hedge if Roullier walks after 2020. So that’s not all bad, but they drafted a similar guy (Pierschbacher) from last year’s draft. They could have picked the linebacker much later, IMO. The two seventh rounders are going to have a hard time making the team.
Trading back isn’t always the best move. I’d rather have had JJ Watt than Ryan Kerrigan and Jarvis Jenkins. And I’d bet Buffalo would rather have Mahomes and Raquan Smith/Minka Fitzpatrick than Josh Allen and Tre’ White. (Both White and Kerrigan are excellent players).Another thought. It sucks that they didn’t have a second rounder this year, but whoever they would have picked in the second would have the same length of contract as Montez Sweat.

Some good analysis...

Hey, do the roster sizes change this year? Is it a 55 man now or is that 2021?

Redskins trade a headache in Williams to 49ers (5th this year, 3rd next) ...Draft another in LT Saadiq Charles. LSU suspended him and he missed games 3 times in 3 years
I’ve read up on Charles this spring. He has early round talent with some character issues that hopefully Rivera can straighten out. I like that they got Gibson and Charles, I just thought they could get both in the 4th.

The Trent Williams hostage situation is finally over. 49ers made out quite well.

He could also play guard. I like him. Though I figured he’d be available in the 4th/5th.

Yeah never even heard of this guy and he played on a national championship team for the past few years. Don’t get much more exposure than that
He’s not even the best safety on his team.

Gruden is so bad at this.

LSU could still sneak in moss, Charles, and Lawrence in too. Wouldn’t be unreasonable.
And Sullivan possibly. One other LBer too.

Killing it.

LSU is going to break the record for draft picks from one school. 10 down. 5 to go.
