  1. I love the draft.  I love the stories behind some of these guys.  For example, Kinlaw from South Carolina, was homeless for parts of his childhood in DC.  His mom sent him down south to be with his dad because of the tough surroundings.  Now he’s on the cusp of being a first round pick.

  2. This is what I entered on Draftnetwork.  Just the order of players, no teams associated.

    1-4: Burrow, Young, Simmons, Wirfs

    5-8: Tagovailoa, Herbert, Brown, Thomas

    9-12: Okudah, Willis, Jeudy, Lamb

    13-16: Kinlaw, Becton, Ruggs, Chaisson

    17-20: Henderson, McKinney, Queen, Jones

    21-24: Jefferson, Cushenberry, Gross-Matos, Murray

    25-28: Mims, Epenesa, Gallimore, Ruiz

    29-32: Diggs, Raeger, Swift, Dobbins

Are we looking to deal Ronnie Stanley or Orlando Brown Junior? If not why are we trading for a starting OT?

Also the Ravens have few needs but they have them. It makes no sense to trade for a blue chip at another position unless there is a bigger plan

Also I am projecting 4 OTs will be gone by #12

They are Wirfs, Wills, Becton and Andrew Thomas/Josh Jone/Jackson. All might also go late 1st or early second

Cleveland and Wilson are getting a lot of buzz too.

As a Redskins fan, I’m hoping for an early run on tackles to open up the trade market for Trent Williams.  Not sure if all 4 go that early based on team needs, but we could see trade ups.

You’re right, it doesn’t make sense for the Ravens to move up for a tackle.

Models seem to be underestimating the extent of the virus. Model from yesterday predicted there would be 40 deaths in Maryland today instead there were 90.  Yesterday was supposed to be peak death day in MD with 46.    Predicted 2000 for the country today instead there are over 2500.  IHME model seem seriously flawed.

Aggregately, for the U.S, IHME has been spot on this month.  Their midpoint estimates for 4/2- 4/19 that they made on April 1 was 38217.  High end, 53755 and low end 22679.  Total deaths from 4/2 through 4/19 was 34275.

Still a long way to go but last week looked real bleak.Plasma seemed to work but again anecdotal. So far 10 days at home and I think 15 in the hospital.

It is with a full heart that I can let you all know today Carl took a giant step forward & left the ICU! He's now being treated in the Internal Medicine Covid-19 section of the hospital.  As I text this he's receiving his plasma transfusion.
Again we're so grateful for all your kind words & prayers.  I know it helped bring Carl to this point.  I'd read or forward him EVERY message - EVERY night for the last 15!
I'm pretty certain we're out of the woods & will let you know the next step when I hear. Thank you to everyone!

Maybe Carl got some of that Kevin Durant plasma and he’ll start dunking.  Great news.  Thanks for sharing.

Just talked to someone who got a loan who has a small business.

It sounds like if you can get one, it really is a lifeline.  My friend described it as about 80% would be forgiven if you prove it was used for payroll, rent, that kind of thing.  And the remaining 20% had favorable terms of a low interest rate and a long payback period.

**the 80/20 split is from math in my head after a few beers in the night.  So it’s not exactly this, but pretty close.

Harvard has a 40 billion endowment but sure give them stimulus money .Small businesses no.

Once there is a handle on this pandemic and people start assessing this act, there are going to be so many stories of fraud, waste, and abuse.

I don’t have a small business, so I haven’t really paid attention, but I have a friend who runs a nonprofit who couldn’t get his application processed.  He said that there were no safeguards in place to prevent forgery of payroll records.  The banks pretty much said, if you want us to get the money out quickly, then we can’t perform due diligence on the recipients.

  8. We were told to take our laptops home on Friday March 13 and work from home.  It's been a little over a month now.  How are people holding up?  What kind of new routines have you gotten into and what has been the biggest challenges?

For us, my wife's hours have been scaled way back as she is primarily taking care of our children.  I'm about as productive as I am in the office, but it is so nice to not have the commute.  I get out of the house each day for a walk and I go to the store about once a week.  I haven't been since last Wednesday, but will go tonight.  We've been good about making our meals last, but it's the produce that keeps us from staying away more.  We choose one place on the weekend to pick up food or have it delivered.  I must say, Chik-Fil-a is a well oiled machine.  I went there on Saturday, didn't get of the car and nobody had to handle my credit card.  It was real efficient.  I have more of an opportunity to cook.  I made eggplant parm last week, and tried something called Obe Ata Stew.  It had chicken, spinach, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, and peppers.  It turned out great!

I'm having anxiety about not being productive enough, but I'm focusing on keeping everybody healthy and keeping things afloat.  I have been spending some time on a professional re-certification that is due in July.  I've given up soda which I've failed to do many times before over the years.  I'm drinking less often than I thought I would, but am drinking way too much when I do.  I did a zoom Happy Hour last Friday and have one tonight.  We pulled off Easter pretty well.  Got dressed up, had an egg hunt, and a nice homemade lunch.  We surprised the grandparents with a visit as they sat on the porch and we sat in the back yard.

The homeschooling has been pretty frustrating.  The software that Fairfax County uses for distance learning has been a failure.  They tried it this week, but gave up on it and will try again on Monday hopefully.  They didn't have any security, so people were going into other classes and writing racist/threatening messages in the chats.  They had to shut it down.

    I'm definitely missing sports.

    What's everyone else up to?

No, they dont have the resources to do that, according to my GP, they are randoming sampling.

What was the hospital situation like?  Was it very crowded, or is it okay where you live?  How were the nurses and physicians holding up?

They say most people can recover at home from COVID-19.

Which is what happened to be, after getting admitted to the hospital, with what I thought was a heart attack.

They did a chest xray and 15 minute swap and confirmed it was COVID.

Gave me the hydrochlororquine drug and pushed antibiotics and I was back around in than 4 hours.

The next day, they sent me home to rest and recover for 14 days.

Damn man.  Hope you are feeling better.  Scary stuff.
