The point still stands, it would appear that the vast majority of his errors are throwing errors, maybe you can look it up and let me know as I have family that actually likes to be around me and full-time work. I don't have 16 hours a day to validate myself on the OH. If indeed most of his errors are from throwing, then perhaps running while throwing isn't something he should continue.

Yeah, I'd dispute this some. He played 3B almost exclusively last year, he didn't make running throws for 2 years now. He's been doing it pretty exclusively this season.

He makes things harder than they need to be quite often. He often loves running to the bag for an unassisted DP, which takes more time and then he has to throw the ball harder. I wish he would feed the 2B more often and let them make the turn for the DP. I get it when he's right over the bag, but there have been many times he's had to make 4 or 5 steps to get to the bag before having to throw a seed to the 1B.

The confusing part is you are willing to trade assets to acquire a backup catcher who is now arb eligible and is going to cost more than your starting catcher. Again, it doesn't seem like a good trade to me, it's a head-scratcher. The bonus is you are stuck paying him until 2027 and he's been worth .2 fWAR this year which is carried by his defense, which also happens to be way down this year.

The Rangers traded for a catcher with a 101 OPS+, which isn't very good because Heim has an OPS+ of 78. It's been your theme that Heim is the same all-star that he was last year and would be a huge upgrade. You don't trade for a backup catcher, you find them on the FA market or in AAA every year.

He was converted to a SP this year, should be okay with the RP market, might complicate the SP market.

Heim has been bad, they are making upgrades, even if not seemingly sexy.
