  1. I doubt O'Hearn sees many balls in RF. They were pulling Means' fastball to LF in his last start and O'Hearn was out there IIRC. Luckily, most of the balls left the yard over his head so he didn't have to make any plays.
  2. .693 OPS against LHP and .669 against RHP. I'd guess Irvin and Burnes on his regular rest.
  3. I'm not crazy about Means in this series. If all he has is his 90 MPH fastball, he's going to get clobbered like last time out.
  4. The dead Oriole bird outside of my window suggests bad juju. There was a Cardinal close by, and well alive, I'm glad we aren't playing the Cards tonight.
  5. I was browsing the OH and heard a bang on the window of the station I am at, went outside to see what it was and found a dead Oriole bird on the ground. Bad omens, man. Bad omens.
  6. Yes, sadly, he is serious.

  8. Agreed. His K rate in the first half of last season was 8.6 and the second half was 10.2. This season he's at 8.2 so far.
  9. What is your point? Gerrit Cole averaged 6.3 IP per game last year. Zack Wheeler 6IP, Spencer Strider 5.8. I'm not sure why you keep pushing some weird narrative that Burnes is no good, but you aren't going to convince many people. He's the best pitcher we have and it's not particularly close. 5 of the guys ahead of him last year are hurt this year.
  10. @Moose Milligan is a big Adell fan.
  11. With the way the offense has played, every pitch is a high-leverage pitch. He had to grind that game, Toronto makes a lot of contact. If your starter tells you he's fatigued, believe him. Burnes is pitching for a massive contract, the last thing he wants is to have a stinker of a season.
  12. Sources must be considered in regard to this matter.
  13. That wouldn't surprise me for two reasons. They are an inept org and they probably want to see what he can do the rest of the year and maybe bank on moving him in the off-season. His injury was pretty substantial so they would be selling low right now. They could have gotten a nice haul during the off-season last year if they moved him coming off the season he did I think.
  14. I hope he can make the adjustments he needs to. His defense has been very good and he's still likely a frontrunner for ROY if he can keep his OPS around .800 and playing good defense. There isn't much competition right now but for Miller. They are both currently at 1.3 fWAR.
  15. I'm sure they are, he's their best player. The issue is and remains that in 5 years, he's only played in 100+ games one time.
  16. They will be facing Burnes. The way Rodriguez has pitched, I'd probably not put him in the "big 3" category.
  17. I don't know many team's fans who think the team's manager is any good. Your opinion is just that, yours, and you are entitled to it, but just because you say it, doesn't make it a truth. Your truth, maybe, but not a truth. There was a bit of insight as to the decisions made at the end of the game, and a lot of moves were thought out well ahead of time, it didn't appear to be the mind of a bumbling idiot.
  18. Stark contrast to last year, when they were so good at those situations with RISP. Hopefully, it's a blip and starts to even out.
  19. The Rangers have been swept every year. You know what they have that we don't.
  20. Perez should be DFA but he'll likely be coming in in a close game.
