Look, you post a thread for discussion, then you attack anyone who doesn't agree wholeheartedly with your initial post. If you want discussion, you have to be prepared for people to have different opinions, and then you have to make sure you have thick enough skin to not freak the F out on people who have a different take. If having Kjerstad up here for 10 days while Hays is on the IL is going to ruin him, then he wasn't who we'd hoped he was in the first place.

You read the board. Sigbot isn't even a real thing, it's how people rationalize what the front office does. The numbers are great, but there are plenty of times when they don't find correction and continue to happen for the length of a season. Oftentimes, an unusually low BABIP remains just that, unusually low for an entire season or longer.

They are putting an asterisk on that because he played 3 games in March and homered in one. With more games being played the consensus is, that it isn't as impressive, but whatever, the kid is great.

I don't disagree, and I know they've faced at least 3 RHP since he was brought up and he has only gotten 1 start. I suspect if Hays ends up being out longer then what you have proposed will start to happen more frequently. It felt, to me, like a callup for a bench spot until Hays felt better. I haven't heard any updates on him and if his DL stint is longer, they need to get Kjerstad into 3-4 games a week somehow.

I get it, like I said, I personally think is a temporary move for a bench player while Hays is on the IL and not a trial run for a really long look at him yet. If the argument is O'Hearn isn't good out there, I'll buy that every day all day, I will also say that O'Hearn, right now, is a much more valuable bat to have in the lineup at this point in the season.

As disappointing as Santander seems right now, he was worse last year through March/April, we all know what he did after that. I think it's too early to call him dead weight.
