I saw a couple references in this thread to possible de-juicing of the ball for 2020. I know MLB never really admitted that the ball was juiced in the first place, so it is probably highly unlikely that there is any publicizing of an attempt to soften the ball for this year, so is this postulating? Or has there been some leak of information somewhere to point to this? Just wondering. Either way, are these projection systems stating they are adding in a less super bouncy ball into their calculations? Disclaimer: Yes, I am being lazy and just asking posters here instead of taking the effort to read the projection systems definitions myself. ?

Hopefully this was a learning experience and they can build on it. Ton of parity in the NCAA this year. This season could continue to be a lot of ups and downs.

Just heard this today about the Twins. I said to a few friends, something is wrong (last couple games), was thinking we would hear something that could not yet be disclosed. They definitely did not look like the same team to me those last couple of games, hopefully this truly was it and they can recover, move on and still have a good season with late tourney runs. I am still optimistic, even with them being unable to put away Bryant away today.

Chris Lee landed in Milwaukee. Brewers signed LHP Chris Lee to a minor league contract. Lee, 27, struggled in the Orioles' system in 2019 with a 5.85 ERA over 19 relief outings between the Double-A and Triple-A levels before being released in July. Steve Pearce is unofficially retired: Steve Pearce told Rob Bradford of WEEI that he's "unofficially retired." Pearce completed his 10th year of MLB service in 2019, which earned him a fully-vested pension. Coming off a rough season where back and knee injuries limited him to just 29 games for the Red Sox, he'd probably have to settle for a minor league deal to keep his career going. He'll be 37 in April and just might not want to put himself through that process. Pearce didn't really hit it big in the majors until his age-31 season with the Orioles in 2014, eventually winning the World Series MVP for the Red Sox in 2018.
