  1. Wow, he must be a really good player to put up an OPS like that. I wonder what Boston is doing in their version of Bowie?
  2. https://baseballsavant.mlb.com/savant-player/nolan-reimold-460099?stats=statcast-r-running-mlb Reimold. At 32 he was at 28.1 and 33 he was at 27.9. That's all the data I could find.
  3. Right, next year. What about AR, Diaz and co? Some of us are waiting to see if Mountcastle gets the Hays treatment.
  4. I think he would have preferred her Drunken Noodles.
  5. I said as much when I first posted about the Wieters 19 pitch at bat. He only had three pitches thrown to him out of the strike zone the whole at bat. The pitcher kept pumping 88 MPH fastballs in the middle of the strike zone.
  6. That's exactly what I meant. He used the past tense because all of that stuff stopped and folks like Cruz are doing it the right way now.
  7. I think they are also really good about picking up pieces for the stretch run without giving up top prospects.
  8. Fangraphs piece on the Wieters at bat. https://blogs.fangraphs.com/what-lies-beyond-the-point-of-exhaustion/ There is the problem, don't let them call time, don't let them step out. The at bat was 10 minutes long. Don't tell me they can't do better than two pitches a minute.
  9. Obviously he was still working on things in Bowie. I'm sure it had nothing to do with making 100% sure he would miss the super 2 deadline.
  10. I'll be shocked if Mountcastle plays an inning at short. Unless Buck comes back and trades for him. I think Mountcastle was considered a SS coming out of HS about as much as Reynolds was. I don't recall ever reading anything that predicted he would stay at short.
  11. Stewart. I'd also say that they have had their share of failed "castoffs". They've thrown a lot of **** against the wall and it looks like some of it stuck.
  12. Mark Reynolds came up as a short stop.
  13. You can always make a case that the greatest players of the current generation are the best overall.
  14. I do expect the ba to drop a bit and for him to hit more doubles.
  15. Cal played forty years ago. What kind of numbers would Tatis out up in 1982?
  16. I think with his uptick in walk rate a 1000 OPS is sustainable for Mountcastle.. He was the IL MVP after all.
  17. He didn't have enough arm to play SS. It was the main reason they moved him off. It does seem fine for left.
  18. If your issue is being caught using PEDs Tatis is basically a clean Arod.
  19. I'll admit to not being old enough for that one.
