What's the early verdict on Mountcastle in left? He passed the Dwight Smith standard? Has he reached average?
I see he hasn't managed to concuss himself so he's better than DJ.
I know his defensive history. But I never looked at Jeter and said, he butchered that ball, if he could get to it, which he often couldn't, he could pick it and throw it adequately.
Jeter wasn't a butcher out there, he just didn't have the range for the position.
I also don't believe in Clutch, unless you are talking the car part or the band.
I wasn't talking about me being downvoted. I mean you have yahoos on there that just downvote every response in the game thread. That's just childish. Anyway, Mountcastle looked good, I waiting for BB reference to update so I can see how much his rWAR went up in a loss.
Anyone think the way they are using Akin indicates that they are down on him as a prospect?
Just seems odd to me that without a pressing need they would send him back down.
Because the player gets to stay in the majors and knows where he is headed. Maybe the Yankees were his choice of destination.
I will ask again, how much would have needed to change hands for this to be acceptable to you?
And were you so vocally upset when Dan actually did break the rules?
This was probably done as a favor to the player.
I don't remember, were you upset when you found out Dan blatantly violated the rules?
Exactly how much should the player have been sold for you not to be upset?
It's happened before, and recently.

Not as if they had an under the table agreement to trade next season's international slots or something. Now the commissioner would slap down something like that.
