  1. Except on his team to lose. (He just doesn't bet if he thinks they will lose)
  2. That isn't exactly promising considering they picked 1-1 last year and recently had a talent sell-off.
  3. Cody Sedlock had a HUGE inning jump his junior year and had a number of alarming pitch counts. https://247sports.com/mlb/scouting/Article/2016-MLB-Draft-Full-Count-Trends-425-105504508/ I found a broke tweet in the Sedlock draft thread, " Sedlock's last 5 starts: 10.2 IP, 6.2 IP, 9 IP, 9.1 IP, 9 IP.</p>— JJ Cooper (@jjcoop36)" I'd say that's riding him like a rented mule. Was the reason I was against the pick at the time.
  4. Yea, it wasn't a good time for me, and yes, I'm probably exaggerating a bit. I certainly wasn't jumping on a scale.
  5. From past history I know that I can average close to a pound a day if I stay inactive for a period of time.
  6. Davis as well, earlier in the week. https://www.mlb.com/news/richard-bleier-chris-davis-donate-food-to-hospitals
  7. If you are playing as the 2020 Orioles you are playing challenge mode.
  8. This is what you get when you play service times games with Mountcastle. Can't say I'm surprised. Now watch the next CBA make the manipulation meaningless.
  9. That's why you use freelancers and outside companies, so you can cut them loose at a moment's notice.
  10. Maybe you could work up their tolerance for boredom. Maybe have them watch paint dry for a couple of hours then move on to baseball and soccer.
  11. Mora led the league in OBP in 2004. That should count.
  12. Do the O's get an extra roster spot for the double header? If so any idea who gets the nod?
  13. https://www.baseball-reference.com/bullpen/Tom_Patton But he didn't get a hit.
  14. The total US population is more than five times greater than Italy.
  15. Wow, I had no idea that is how it worked. Fascinating. BTW he led the league in CS% in back to back seasons (76-77 {19% above league average}). Dempsey's career CS% numbers took a hit due to the longevity of his career. I've never looked into it, but I imagine most catchers get less effective at throwing out runners when they get into their 30's and Dempsey played into his 40's.
  16. It is remarkable how not seriously the older generation is taking this in Florida. My father(82) just now got in his truck to drive to the part store.
  17. One thing we know for sure, he could throw. Career 40% CS rate, to include seasons in which he was over 50%.
  18. They could still be viable, they would just have to lock the players out until a massive restructuring of athlete salaries took place.
