  1. I mean 95 is a lot different than 92. As a general rule harder is better.
  2. Basically no one does well against 95+ velocity. It's why guys do what they do to themselves so they can throw that hard.
  3. Yea, his name is Kolton and he's been filling in for him the last week.
  4. https://www.amazon.com/s?k=cow+suit&crid=I2XF32SW3XRV&sprefix=cow+suit%2Caps%2C235&ref=nb_sb_noss_1 Tons of options with two day shipping.
  5. Nice take from Mountcastle.
  6. To me it isn't so much how much value he has to the A's as a player but what other packages they could get from another team. I agree that he's better utilized as a means to gather additional assets.
  7. I remember a poster having real issues with the School Gunnar went to.
  8. I'll admit the color coding of the defensive positions threw me off for a second.
  9. Oh, Huxley and Wells are miles away from what I was talking about. They have more in common with Shelly and Verne. I'm talking about the Americans churning out work in Astounding Stories trying to make rent. But the other stuff is aces as well, just a different flavor to it.
  10. I don't think you stick a guy on the IL for "a little more sore than normal". They could just be looking for a reason to curtail his usage. Hopefully that's all it is.
  11. Yea, you strike me as the type that is familiar with early 50's Sci-Fi. Or any book without pictures.
  12. I went with the most recent version of the reference and you still come up short.
  13. This is years, at a very low price. That was months. The O's could have an elite closer/set up man combo next year for two million. There is value in that.
  14. Yankees got Torres for a couple months of Chapman.
  15. Grayson's already missed time due to injury. Remember 2022? Who knows how much time he'll miss between now and free agency. It's a bad data point to have on his resume. It doesn't help him in any way and could potentially hurt him. Why should he agree to that for no gain? Would you let your employer do whatever the equivalent would be to you? The arbitration stuff is just silly speculation about how a team could use his generosity against him and once again the IL trip would be a data point and not the whole argument.
  16. A lot of players have significant hot and cold stretches. He's one of them.
  17. Man wish I could sense mental defeat via swing analysis. Sounds like it be useful for prop betting.
  18. You know what would be hilarious? If Grayson agreed to a phantom IL stint and then the team used it against him in arbitration hearings. What a hoot that would be. No way a team would ever do something like that tho. Teams that fake injuries are totally ethical in other respects. And yes, teams are going to be looking at every IL stint when he gets to free agency. Are you going to spend hundreds of millions of dollars without doing your due diligence?
  19. A Miller move would be for more than one or two years even if you are factoring in a TJ surgery.
  20. Vegas doesn't really seem to want them.
