Being able to hit 96 isn't that much of a calling card in today's game.
Seems like a sunk cost to me but not as if they don't have a need in the pen right now.
First off that's ridiculous and secondly I'm not saying Mullins is the MVP, just that I'd put him ahead of O'Hearn, who I also don't think is the team MVP.
It's Gunnar by a wide margin.

O'Hearn is a great story.
He doesn't play enough. Even missing time to injury Mullins has impacted more games. He also impacts games more with his glove and on the basepaths.
You have to be something first.
His only season prior to this one that was above replacement was his rookie season in which he played like 44 games.
This is more like a most improved player situation.
Can we get some sort of meme for folks whining about how unfair the strikezone is?
It's terribly unoriginal and in almost every case the ump sheet that comes out the next day shows the guy did a mostly OK job.
I think the plan is to use Bautista in the playoffs if he appears capable of helping and then have him get surgery in the offseason.
I also think he is 100% on board with the idea.
