  1. He's a below average bat that is slow and poor defensively. Can we agree on that? All three of those statements are true. 97 OPS+ 26.2 ft/s sprint speed (same as McCann) Some metrics have him as the worst fielding player in MLB this year.
  2. When Frazier misplays a ball hit to second do you say to yourself, "Man, we really could use a below average bat that can take a pitch"?
  3. I've seen him play defense.
  4. That's why he's here. He's literally being asked to do what they traded for him to do. They didn't pick him up to pitch in blow outs.
  5. The team won. Pitching wins are nonsense, team wins are what are important.
  6. Ohtani could get traded to the NL today and he'd still end the season as the best candidate for AL MVP.
  7. I'll probably get the laugh emote thrown my way again but he never got the chance to learn how to go deep into games in the minors.
  8. This is why I want Gunnar at short. https://streamable.com/m/kyle-bradish-in-play-out-s-to-randy-arozarena-v3qspm
  9. No, you don't get it. You magically know he's going to develop it. Just like in your scenario I magically knew he was going to be an improved Bradish.
  10. Seriously we should not be targeting the type of player that would be worried about getting cut if they struggle for a month. Something like that shouldn't even enter the equation going forward.
  11. For the record, according to his bio, he's older than you are. Not taking sides.
  12. Because guys don't normally develop platoon splits this late into their career so it's probably not a sustainable phenomenon. But I'm sure you know that.
  13. It's only 20 seconds of failure at a time. If your partner can deal with it surely you can.
  14. Must have been rough for him back when they were all day games. Looking at the actual stat line. 25 RBI in 275 at bats is pretty good when you are hitting .150. Makes what Caleb did in 2016 look even more impressive.
  15. I'm sure there is reams of data on what the economic impact would be. I don't think it matters. The Angelos family doesn't move decisively.
  16. Like I said, that isn't an honest question at that point. You just want to keep Povich. My equivalent would be what if you knew Povich was going to need Thoracic Outlet surgery? Would you make the deal?
  17. Do you think you could get ownership to approve any sort of deal that quickly?
  18. Oh, so an improved Bradish scenario. Well that's just a loaded question not designed to create actual debate.
  19. I was thinking of Simmons. I'm not sure career length should be a consideration. Top 5 was wiggle room in case there was a name I'd forgotten.
